Suggest shaving the legs, think of your stem as a highway and all of the buds are side streets. The less side streets the more traffic will end up at your top buds, if you leave all the little airy larf buds then your top buds are being robbed of nutes they could be using. JMO
Thanks for passing by man!
And thank you for the advice!
So, if my understanding is correct, I should cut off most if not all fan leaves and lower airy buds?
I did cut off many bottom fan leaves already and was actually wondering whether I should keep on doing that!
When would you stop feeding nutes by the way?
Thanks for everything!

Stop feeding two weeks b4 you cut it and give it plenty of extra water those last weeks. Cut off all of the lower growth to concentrate the growth on the top colas. God bless

Hi everyone!
Hope you're all well.
Here's an update for DAY 58!!
I tried to take a few pics of the trichomes, so here we go!
They're not of great quality, but maybe they can help determine harvest time?
I have to admit that I am not so sure when to harvest.
I plan on giving her a last feed tomorrow, and then start flushing soon.
What do you guys think?
There she is:

Hey everyone!
Hope you're well.
I need your advice guys! I am not too sure when to stop feeding. I know it's supposed to be 2 weeks before harvest, but I'm not too sure when to harvest...!
It's DAY 64 today for Miss Grapefruit.
Should I keep feeding her for, say, 5 more days, then flush for 2 weeks?
Here are some pics!
(She is starting to smell so fine by the way!)

I would start flushing now, looks almost done to me.
Alright, will do!
Thank you.
How do you flush by the way? I usually water/feed twice a week. Does that mean I will flush 4 times in total?
Thanks for passing by!

When you flush you carry your planter to a sink or shower and use two or three times as much water as usual untill there is heavy runoff, you then do not wait the usual time for your media to become dry and light, you water it again heavily b4 you normally would. Repeat this the last two weeks of flower. It supposedly washes off the salts from your roots making it a smoother smoke. I personally use a vaporizer and do not smoke, I can tell the difference in unflushed bud and flushed. Flushed bud is very smoothe, unflushed will tickle the back of your throat, make your nose run, eyes water, tastes harsh and chokes you alot worse. Some people will disagree and say as long as it is cured right that it doesnt matter but I disagree.

Thanks!!
Sounds good bro.
Yes I see what you mean. Good info right there!
Now I understand why I sometimes have runny nose when smoking...! Probably means that the weed I sometimes happen to smoke has not been properly flushed..
Will try my best and keep you updated!

Leaching or flushing when growing in dirt is not necessary. When growing in dirt the nutrients are broken down very slowly by other processes then converted to a form that the plants roots can uptake. Thus making flushing a waste of time. It all goes back to shitting under a apple tree doesn't make the apples taste like shit. Looks good nice job she looks ready you can tell by the receding green on the leaves, I believe that to be the nitrogen. This could be used as a sign that the plant is deficient of nutrients or has stopped up taking nutrients as it is in its final stages of life. After taking your bud off you can bud the plant again by fertilizing it again with a 1450ppm nutrient mix. Try using veg/bloom or technaflora line "recipe for success". Good luck

You are wrong about flushing dirt, grow two in dirt and only flush one, then vape both and tell us that the unflushed isnt much harsher. I have done it and flushing is necessary to get a good smoothe vapor.

Thanks for your input guys!
I'll definitely flush anyway. Would be quite silly to have worked this hard and come this far simply not to flush and to end up with a harsh smoke. Definitely not what I want. Quality over quantity, always! :)

Maybe if you grow in dirt that is attached to the earth you shouldnt have to flush but when you are growing in a pot the salts build up on the media even if you water with runoff.

If you are making a extract it should only be the product you intended to extract and nothing more. Making a comparison between different scenarios would require more than just one single opinion, it would require a placebo and trials with multiple test and test subjects before you could even narrow it down to a maybe in regards to cause and effect. There is just to many variables in the growing process the drying process and the extraction process to deduce that a unwanted taste comes from a particular part of the process.
Thank you for your comment I will be keeping an eye on things of this nature for further comparison. It has always been helpful to have different angles on things.

If you are using a soil medium and breaking down nutrients via beneficial bacteria, if you where to use dead water ( high O.R.P drinking water/tap water ) you would kill your beneficials. There has been a few studies that suggest that it could be a cause for a ruff smoke because some of those dead beneficials are going through the zylem and getting caught in the plant tissue. Unfortunately unless there is nothing touching the root or if the things touching the root are inert then the roots are going to continue to uptake what has been broken down in the soil via the water. Like I always say " this is your hobby do it how you like it" and if you wouldn't mind sharing your knowledge and experiences I would like to also learn from them.

Thanks again for your inputs guys, and for bringing about an interesting topic!
As I am new to growing I am eager to learn more.
In about 7 to 10 days I'll be harvesting Grapefruit, and that'll be a first time for me.
Also, what are you guys' advices concerning drying and curing?
How do you dry your buds? In a brown paper bag or by hanging them or both?
Thanks again!!
Peace,
