There's actually a fair amount of historical accuracy in the Vikings series, some of the characters in it and a general sense of who they were and what they did. It centers around Ragnar Lothbrok and his son/sons. If you've ever gotten into any viking lore you've probably heard the name Ragnar, one of his sons was Ivar The Boneless, another famous name.
