Day 5 in buckets. Still using the same reservoir of root 66 and Sugar daddy's. Had to add ph down was at 6.1, I dropped it to 5.4. Ppm is 521. Still trying to hold out until my ro system shows up. It should be here Wednesday. Here are a few shots I took today. Hope this is turning into a good show for you friends. I do apologize if I'm super amateur at this, but I'm striving for perfection. So feel free to speak up, bash, critique, criticism, opinions, please share them.View attachment 584019 View attachment 584020 View attachment 584021 View attachment 584022 View attachment 584023 View attachment 584024 View attachment 584025 View attachment 584026 View attachment 584027 View attachment 584028
Don't sweat lowering your pH when it hits 6.1. Let it rise for a week-10 days until time for a rez change and it will be around 6.4. You want your solution pH to swing through the 5.5-6.4 range letting all of your nutes, macro and micro available. Nutes uptake at different pH levels. I'd wait until you are in full veg with a lot of established roots to fill my rez all the way up so you aren't wasting a lot of nutrients at time of rez change. You really need to change your solution no less than every 10 days as you'll get that slimey aquarium gunk all over everything and invite pathogens into your system. I wouldn't be topping off with nutes or lowering pH as salt buildup will occur and all of your solution won't become available at the lowest end of the pH scale. There's a chart that shows what pH different elements are available for uptake online and you'll see what I mean. Sounds like you're on track, just let it do it's thing and you'll be golden. Best, Irie.

When I change my rez should I do a flush, if I'm going to use different nutes? For example switching from veg to flower? And if so, is there anything you recommend doing or using?

What are you running for nutes again?
I'm using technaflora bc recipe for this one. I have gh three part series too, beginner rookie stuff probably.

You got a awesome first set up. I thought my 600w hid and 6site rdwc that I started with was something. I'm about to upgrade to this brute 10gal for my flower bucket.I'll have 3 buckets then 2 5gal under the t5 and 1 10gal in the 2x4x7 flower tent. I wish I had a setup like yours. I plan to move to a recreation state so I can go wild with a build like that.
Fuck it, just do it.

I'm going to do some research, thanks for the heads up. If you have a link or thread you can reference me too that'd be great.

I don't flush but I've either used 3 parts or floranova bloom start to finish.

Gh 3part works great. It's what I started with. Had excellent results. Keeps the res cleaner then the nova. I'm currently using AN 3part ph perfect.

I've read a lot of mixed reviews on flushing.
Only time I flush is the last 4-7 days. Strait ph water. I also like to lower the nutes the last week before I flush. Depending on the plant and if I've over Fed, I lower to 50-75%. When I see the leaves starting to change I know it's time.

I think I'm going to stick to the recipe for success kit from bc this time, just to get comfy and familiar. I will say what I found from people using it (online) looked kind of weak. The growers set up looked shit too so I will just try it for myself and see if my results are positive.
