Greetings, fellow cannabis enthusiasts,
I want to ask you all a very important question, which might determine the health of my grandmother. She has been ill for a long time and I know of quite a lot of the miraculous recoveries many people have made after consuming cannabis related medications. Some of my grandmother's illnesses are: arthrosis of the knee (gonarthrosis), discopathy, dizziness, colitis. My question is whether I would be able to relieve her pain by adding the classical dried, grinded pieces of marihuana, or does she need to smoke it or eat it in some other form. This is a really important question for me, so please be serious. Thank you!

You need to find and talk to a marijuana doctor. They will better guide you.
I recommend CBD's if they don't want to get the high effect. Although thc helps a lot with different symptoms. I like vaping flowers in conjunction with some edibles together.

The thing is... in my country we have no such thing as marijuana doctors. The plant is strictly illegal here.

Well, like Gong said, you definitely want to get her a high CBD strain. Apparently the best medicinal effects come from strains that have a 1:1 CBD/THC ratio.
You can make cannabutter to make edibles for her but, if you go that route it would probably be a good idea to make them on the weak side, gramma probably wouldn't do well with a strong edible.
Or you could go with a vaporizer, it's like smoking but, there's no smoke and no flame. You need to get a good vape though, to be sure there's not gonna be any smoke. With some of the cheap ones you might get some combustion and get smoke.
With a vape you can get good vapor hits that will look like you're blowing out a cloud of smoke but, it's just vapor. It's a healthier alternative to inhaling smoke.
Good luck.

I have Chrons.

In the three years I have had my MMJ card i bet i have used MMJ a LOT of different ways

1 smoking
2 Vaporizing tge Dry herb
3. Made edibles
4. Tinctures
5. Made ejuice to use in an eCigarette
6. Made ejuice with kief
7. Making my QWISO
8. Made RSO

Different methods give different reactions. All Depends on what she needs.

Vaporizing Dry herb abd smoking gives tge head rush concentrates too.

Edibles last 4 times as long but takes 45 minutes to two hours before you feel it.

Ejuice gives pain relief and a body high.

No, it does not have to be smoked. In certain cases, it must be heated (aka decarboxylation) to become active. But for things like topical applications, smoking is not required, nor for eating it.

I cannot adequately advise you on what she should be doing, but you can make a canna-butter (coconut oil is actually the best for this) that can be eaten or applied topically. Colitis should definitely be eaten.

Keep in mind that by eating it is very easy for her to become too high, so use VERY LITTLE unless you can acquire high-CBD strains.

I should have mentioned cannabutter, cannabis coconut oil of infused Olive oil; buf was only listing the ways i have personally used it.

I concur that the dosage should be kept low till she develops a tolerance.

Because getting too much medicine in the beginning can be terrifying. When i got my MMJ card three years ago i had 0 previous usage experience, and the first 10-12 times i used it it felt like i was at the bottom of a well and the visual effects made it feel as if tge Walls was closing in in lime i was being buried Alive. I was certain i was dying. Got a little tolerance and those freakazoid Experiences stopped.

If she has never used cannabis before i would recommend

1. Making an eJuice for her. That is the best way i found to Control the experience.

2. Low dosage edibles.

Another way of getting the medicine without the psychoactive Experience is to make RSO (Rick Simpson Oil) and puf it in a suppository. This way she can get the medicine without being processed through the liver
