hi, I have been on here before -a while ago when I was trying my luck in soil. Well, sadly - to a now (Ex) girlfriend I was not able to see those through to the end, although they looked mighty good. Anyway, long story short I am now able to do my own small grow.

I am in limited space so I purchased this box which is (supposedly) able to hold up to 6 hydrophonic plants, the dimensions of the room are: 34.75" T x 16.5" W x 11.25" D, I amusing basic CLF lights - we are still in the growth phase (2nd week) and when it starts to flower (AK-47 autoflower, feminized) I will switch the bulbs to the different bulbs.

I am worried about the overall look of the plants, what's the proper pH for this system (reservoir is about 1.25 gallons), how often should I change the ENTIRE reservoir, should I put a little humidifier in the room in the room? What's the best humidity level for the room, temperature in F, and - it comes with a basic fan but there's not much pumping out of it, should a get a small clip on fan that might move air around a little? I also have those C02 pads which I started last week when I got real leaves. Here are some pics, tell you what you think and - tips and pointers are always appreciated!

Those dimensions seem too small for 6 plants. Maybe 2 and thats gonna be tight.
Im not a hydro guy but...
PH 6.5
temps 75
humidity 50%
those are just some ballpark numbers...

Way to small of space. I'm in a 2x4x7 foot tent and running out of room with one auto.

6 week old auto.

When they say 6 hydroponic plants for that type of system they are talking about basil, oragano, etc, I am pretty sure

When I first started growing that was my number 1 surprise, how fn big they get. I had no idea. I've had over 6' plants before. I train allot now so I ends up wider then tall

I'm really pissed off but at least I didn't spend a TON of money on this rig, although I see now that the price has gone down a bit. Anyway, I'm trying to get what I can out of it, the plants are still doing decently. I think they are having SOME issues but I'm working on that. There's three in there now, and two are much bigger than the third. I might consider building my own soon since I now know whats needed. I am flying by the seat of my pants here, learning as I go - this is my first grow ever.

I'll post some pics so as to get some advice on what I should do to maybe improve the situation as best I can under the circumstances and salvage the grow. You'll notice on some of the pics there's a white powdery substance, very mild, but starting to build up on some of the leaves - I researched this and bought an organic spray to help with that. I'm not sure why two of the leaves have edges that look like they've burnt? I've since raised the lights as high as they can go. Clearly still in the growth stage. These are auto-flowering (I don't even know what that means to be honest, am I supposed to know when it's auto flowering and then change the stupid lights out and put it on a 12-12 light schedule?). Then, I see on some of the newer top leaves the tips are a little lighter in color than the rest.

Going into Week 4 of grow I believe. Pardon my horrible memory, I should be writing this shit down I'm on a shit ton of meds and can't remember what my name is half the time. Anyway, thanks for any help or advice - much appreciated.

He is using cfl so it will be much smaller.
A fan circulating air really helps. Sounds like you got took if you payed alot for the system. A good system should have a vortex fan and an activated charcoal filter.
I think the fan that came with the box is shit so I bought a little USB powered fan that seems to work really well. I keep an eye on it to make sure the humidity, temp and air flow are all pretty stable. For what I'm working with I think I'm doing a decent job lol.

Looking great. Lil burn on the tips ain't bad but means your pushing the nutes. Your doin fine bro. Piece by piece is how most of us do it.

thank you for the encouragement! lol i really enjoy this it's like science to me and i'm totally into it. I'm going by what the directions that came with the box gave me in terms of nutes, but like I said - trial and error. The reservoir is about 1.25 gallons max. Very small. The air stone that it came with and the pump were pretty good, but I added another one on my own to give it an extra boost. I'm customizing this little guy on my own. Like I said, I'm definitely going to build my own box next time, now that I know what I know. I look forward to see what's gonna happen with this first grow. I'll be proud no matter the final harvest!
