Co2 During Veg?

does anyone know if i should be using co2 during veg or is it just something to use in flower? if yes, will it make the plants grow faster, whats the affect on the plants? i no in flower co2 is used to boost yield.

I only is e in flower as I turn my lights down in veg to controll growth. My veg time is 2 weeks longer than I'd really like.

You could easily shave that two weeks off with co2. I keep my temps on the higher end and use agrosun hps bulbs to veg. My veg is full tilt boogie, turn around is on average 7-10 days max from rooted clone to flower.

But do you get a ppm of 1200 - 1500 and your temps need to be at least 80% - thought that co2 works well in flower also

C02 is for both flower and veg. Some folks like to use only in flower to save on grow costs. My thinking is more important to use in veg for more volume and bigger root ball.

I use it in both veg n flower

im not buying the "shave 2 weeks off by using co2 in flower" ive done it, and it wasn't happening. if that's the case, every grower in the world would be using co2 to shave 2 weeks of a run. I added another 600mh in veg and my growth is out of control. I had to back off 2 of my 3 hoods to 75% as my gg4 are growing like mad vs myother 5 strains.

Do you guy's use tanks ? there are a lot of worthless products out there now-a-days believe the best besides tank might be TBN Naturals - still it's a "shake" product to activate

I use a tank with an evs controller level sensor. Shuts itself off during lights out. Also turns it off if levels exceed 1500 ppm until levels come back down to desired range

Tank with a blueprint dbac-2 fuzzy logic controller. Awesome controller but way overkill for my setup. Damn thing can only input 14a max. My ac is 12.4a, so that and the regulator are only plugged into the unit. My deheuy is on its own plug

Thanks guy's - the biggest coast is getting a tank, correct ? other stuff (valves) are less expensive ? recommenations ?

Biggest cost is the controller. My blueprint was a tad over 500.00.

Tanks are about 160, filled for a tank u own. But can find cheap used, but make sure it's not a pepsi or coke, most hydro stores won't exchange rhem5. Then you need to have it certified if it's expired.

Any experiences with reducing or eliminating pests using co2?
there used to be a member here a few years ago that advocated that using excessive amounts of C02 in a sealed room would eliminate pests by asphyxiation. I haven't ever tried it or have any knowledge that it truly works. But in theory it sounds like it should work.:)

Even then how much C02 and for how long is required and in addition, while it might choke out the fliers and crawlers, what about egg sacks.? Would they choke as well. Because if it doesn't kill egg sacks then repeated applications would have to be used as new larvae were born and the cycle would have to continue until all the eggs were hatched.

If you do it and it works be sure to post your results with us all. Sure would beat using pesticides.

Co2 burners and tanks are the way to go. Using co2 from the beginning of a plants life allows more stomata to be created on the leaf. Using co2 at the beginning of flower doesn't do much because the leaves don't have the appropriate amount of stomata. Levels above 1100 ppm have been proven in other plants to reduce yields. Be sure to reduce co2 levels down to 400 ppm at around 4 to 6 weeks of flower depending on the strain. Co2 inhibits ethylene production, and ethylene assists in the ripening of buds. And yes co2 at extreme concentrations can be used to kill pests without harming plants.
