hes ok at the moment thanks. The surgery went well but he got a post op infection which came back again after antibiotics. Hopefully its gone now, if it returns again we have big problems.

i love rotties, i wanted one but the mrs isn't a fan. Very happy with my boy though, he's such a little muppet

Ugh don't mention that restricted breed dribble..anyone that's owned dogs n genuinely understand the breed purposes know it's completely jibberish. In our new estate for example all the travellerS have their dogs out roaming free (2 horses also in the soccer pitch behind me) n the little cunts always go for my lad n I've to take him off the lead so he can defend himself ffs.
I believe a better version of that law would be if someone wants to own a dog they've to complete puppy Socialising classes n heel training before that dog can go into public no matter the breed !! and a temperament test for muzzles this will not only educate ppl on how to handle their dog but will also put off those cunts that get pets on an impulse.
I'd also make it compulsory to chip them and neuter em unless you've direct agreement with the breeder for breeding and even then you've to produce hipscores as well as other criteria such as enough space to house em n the fact that you're competent and responsible in what youre about to undertake (hate back yard breeders)

Lol I bought a rottie years ago and that cane with all of that if I wanted to breed her or the kc wouldn't release the papers for the pups she was the grandaughter of rolex rumour has it

Well put although i went to puppy classed with my dog, he was 3 times bigger than al the other dogs and wanted to play really rough. He jumped on all their backs and was ragging them around (rough play) and all the other owners looked mortified! Some of them were so scared of letting their dogs interact, they are as bad as the owners who train for aggression! You could tell the people who ran the group were real kennel club snobs who look down on the bully breeds. I went my own way after that and my dog has turned out really friendly and well socialised. Unless you're a cat or a squirrel.

Dude those ppl are morons but at least u got ur lad out socialising..that play is a very important part for reinforcing his bounds on what's acceptable n u did them a favour by having a larger breed dog around em.that jumping on the back/mounting is him asserting his dominance so perfectly healthy n acceptable behaviour...gfs a dog trainer..or was in Germany.n ur dog turned out friendly cuz u treated him well whist also reinforcing ur role as alpha..dogs will always turn out well if they know who's the boss.
