Dogs work well. And they hate the smell of human pee.whats the best way to keep deer at bay apart from shooting them ! any ideas lads ?
Ok then take in the loss of lumens into the equation through the distance from the plant canopy and light distribution and u will find that a 600 is nearly twice as efficient as a 1000w when all factors are taken into account a cheap light meter and temp meter will show u this that is unless u have hoods that will take all the hot air and there is loss of lumens through the extra glass so all said and done 600 are more efficient
yeah i completely agree, parabolics are my wife but the 1000w de are my mistress. Love me a 1000w parabolic too! When i started growing years ago we all used 250w lights but shit loads of them, if you are growing small plants then that is a really good option too, loads of light sources and epic coverage but not much penetration. Got to say I'm liking the look of my parabolic tent over my gavita tent right now. That's not my experience at all I would say a 10% difference at most is what I have seen and using parabolics heat has never been a big issue I was hanging 30cm (12") no probs with my parabolic. The diamond I had was another matter it just seemed to beam the heat down.
600w is where it's at for bang for buck but the kw has a special place in Desertboy's heart.
wha gwarn robster?a drunk driver would of flipped that car on its roof , he was clearly stoned and in total control ;)
That's why I said a "real" hot one. lmaoaint no such thing as a tranny that isn't hot.
I've always read that the differences are negligible and that when all things are considered you're better off with the 600. I believe that to be the case if you're only running one light, maybe two, I'm thinking it's probably a different thing if you're running multiples.Ok then take in the loss of lumens into the equation through the distance from the plant canopy and light distribution and u will find that a 600 is nearly twice as efficient as a 1000w when all factors are taken into account a cheap light meter and temp meter will show u this that is unless u have hoods that will take all the hot air and there is loss of lumens through the extra glass so all said and done 600 are more efficient
I guess it's somewhat dependent on the area you're trying to keep them out of. You could use some chicken wire to make a simple fence, deer don't like jumping fences, they don't here anyway. :smug: Pretty sure mothballs will keep them back too and like @ShroomKing said, never seen a deer that like the smell of human urine.whats the best way to keep deer at bay apart from shooting them ! any ideas lads ?
Nobody ,,,,, ?
- Can any of you UK old timers on here remember a canna site called Panama Jack ? It got closed down about 7-8 years ago .
Thanks for your "final thought" mr springer thats always been my favorite part o the show.Autos are few and far between and the difference between the generations is epic we got 33 oz bone dry off 2 x 600w in a xl tent knowing what I know now I defo would have got over 40 and the quality of smoke was awesome too but there defo not for everyone to get the most out of em they always need a lot longer than they say and the lights need to be on 20/4 so Leccy bill can get out of hand my final thought on em is there good for outside but I won't be running them inside again not ever
