They are looking great, I love this stage in there life when they are growing at least two inches a day. The summer heat has not set in here yet and not missed at all! I wish that I had a little more privacy to put a few plants out for the summer. I've lost the perpetual flow and have too many plants in veg and bloom right now.:)
Orca I'm curious on how you keep your plants so green I saw your plant on photo of the month. Do you always use properly pH water? Or just tap water

Gosh, Thank you for the great compliment. I don't adjust my water PH. I do use a simple remote 10 in 1 filter. My tap water PH stays right at 7.0. My soil mix before planting is right at 5.8. The combination of the two stabilizes the soil mix to a PH level of right at 6.3 through the grow. Going to LED lighting in bloom has also really enhanced the overall health in my plants. Since changing I don't even get brown leaf tips and they are staying much more lush. I also want to note that it is taking at least two more weeks to finish under LED compared to HPS. I think the slower finish is also another enhancement in there overall health. Here is my water filter.

Thanks to the info . What kind filter ? I have the pur filter that attaches to the faucet. Ppm come out low but ph still obove 7.5 . Also curious to what type of LED light you're using? I know there's people custom making them. High pressure sodium 600 is running me about 90 to 100$ a month to run during the day . I have friends that have custom LEDs that really work and some of the best products I've ever seen.

The filter I'm using is made by New Wave. I love my water using this filter. They even have a shower head filter that only rids of Chlorine. Plus a filter bag to hang over the bath faucet to dechlorinate . Here is the info on the 10 stage filter plus a link to New Wave. They are right at 80 bucks at Amazon and the one year filter cartridge costs about 45 bucks. I've been using these filters for three years now.

I was in the same position wondering how accurate the readings were I was getting using cheap and primitive tools to read PH levels. If you want true readings get a Bluelab soil PH pen. You can use this pen to accurately test soil, water, and runoff. All in one. It just needs calibrating on a monthly basis when being used. Plus never let the probe dry out during long storage to not damage the unit. They cost right at $ 150.00 but worth the true readings.:)

Nice yeah I've seen those at the shop. HM makes good ones but are for water only i think . Do you use ph down? Thinking of using earth juice down of I do. Not GH acid cause have had bad results in indoor.

Yea, I've had to adjust PH levels up and down. In your situation I want to suggest just using Vinegar. You just need to do a little testing first to figure out the proper ratio. For example I would try adding a half teaspoon of vinegar to one gallon of tap water and see how much the PH level drops. In the case where the PH level is too low. Baking soda can be used the same way. Again you need to figure out to proper ratio before using.

Prior to planting I put one last top dressing of various goodies. I relied on the rains to soak in the nutes. Apparently a mistake. On 5/24 I took a soil sample in for testing. Test showed high nitrates and salts rom chicken ferts. Although I think i must have picked an unmixed clump of soil for the test...my plants weren't looking sick or heavily over fed.
To be safe I heavily watered all the holes after adding some gypsum.

$15. At our local nursery. Took them only a couple of days. Since I've thrown some pretty strange stuff in my holes I had no idea of where I was at. Money well spent.
I bought some cal mag with fulmic acid to have on hand. Called oily can.

A wise choice in my opinion because Humic, and Fulvic acids are a must because they accelerate nutrient absorption through every part of a plant's roots in a natural process called mineral chelation. This allows the acid to take hold of heavier minerals that plants wouldn't be able to uptake naturally. By transporting them into plant tissue accelerates nutrient absorption through every part of a plant's roots. Plus transporting them into plant tissue strengthens the plant. The Cal Mag is also very needed with MJ. I would start using it ASAP!:)

Thanks! I will apply it just before dusk tonight. The directions call for 1/4 tsp per gallon of water. It currently takes one gallon of spray to folia r feed my plants. Glad I bought the one gallon size!
I guess I bought enough I can pass the bottle down thru the generations to follow, lol!

A friend and fellow grower "on the hill" was blown away with the jump I have on other local grows. He estimates it will take him another three weeks to get to where I am today. Made me very happy to hear that.

I got some above ground cage material and will start my first cage project as soon as cool enough weather permits. I like to stop work by noon, earlier as summer goes on. Tomorrow I leave the ranch so a doctor can determine if I am still psycho. Not sure why they need to keep checking. I seem to have pretty much made up my mind on the subject some time ago. I stay down in "the city" night before doctor day so I get to see my wife. We always eat out, dozens of restaurant choices abound. We make it a mid week date. Not bad after 25 years together!

I'm also just using tap water . I go in between watering with filtered about 80% the time. Has loads of cal from Colorado river . By the time it's here can get pretty bad . I'll try vinegar and test the water.
