Hi All Will An Auto Cutting Continue On It's Original Cycle

Hi all I'm new to auto's but wanted to give em a try. I have taken my cuttings from lower branches as I normally do. Will these cuttings continue on their original cycle, will they start a new cycle or will they not be auto's at all anymore???

They will continue on their original short cycle of life. Flower and die at the same time as the mother plant.
