How hot/cool do they run compared to a 400 and 600W HPS? Im looking at this as an option for my cupboard but only if it runs cooler etc as my main prob is temps
my HID 600 runs at 26c where my 630W CDM mixed hood runs at 24.2C same vents same inputs.
A 315w is about 3 degrees cooler in the tent overall than a 400W HID, but they need to run at a greater distance so may be a small restricted space is not ideal for them. You hang them like 1000W HID lamps mate, well the 630s i run. I have tested plants up to the lamp, but the light intensity is strong so the lamp needs a bit of headroom before it hits the canopy

I've just had a little look at em it says 1 x 315 will illuminate 1sqm but the double end will only cover 1.5 sqm so surely it would be better to buy 2 single units for a extra £50 on top of the de for the extra .5sqm
I run the 630's mate, one daylight, one argo same hood, I have a controller to flip flop them if it gets too hot if we get a summer ever, for now I can run the 630's easy. I have a gavtia tent with 1000W DE and x2 01 270LEP but honestly, this CDM is better. Worst thing about them, how long they take to restart. They need to be cooled well. I have a back up LED for this. LED is great at recovery from power outage but this is it. I never got an bleaching of my gavs or cdms but i have from LEDS

Well ive got a 3x4 x8high area basically and was either looking at a COB setup or 2x 315`s etc

ok, so i ran an id blue dream cut, in auto pots, in peat coco soil-less with organics manually fed. HID 600W green Power did 598g/m2. The 630 CDM mixed spec did 731g/m2
Hmmm so about 22% more verrrry interesting! :) Thanks!

Also was the 600w being run with a boost to 660w?

So more than paid for itself hypothetically  first time!

yes, it was a maxibright 240V 600W digital dimmable with 660w boost, with a Philips Green Power HPS lamp and the same style supernova reflector. The 240V 600W was set at 18inches, while the 630W CDM mixed spec was set at 30 inches.
I am just running a test based on 400W HPS using Primaklima's yield panels see here versus 600W HPS using Azerwing hoods. I am about 6 weeks from the show down :-) I will update you if you are interested. I see the panels as a good way to increase light to the corners without going up in power lamp wise. We will see. If i can drop my lamps to 315W or even 400W where i am running 600, I will be super happy.

may be these will help you? Not sure on the full size range, but might be a way to get more amp from your existing lamp?

Yes please, def interested!:)

I would go 2x 315 mate, you can run one on daylight, one on argo, you can use one for veg, then boost the other lamp when you need to. The daylight is a trick vegging lamp, produces stocky plants very quickly. My CDM plants hit growth markers days before my HID. I really think the daylight lamp is super, and the argo helps pack on extra bulk. The daylight has good UV levels so increase trich density. Do use glasses tho, the light is very strong and will burn you if you arent careful.

cool ok bro. Once i get the results from the 400 v 600 I will run the 400 v 315 both on panels, see whats up and just how many watts I can shave without loss of harvest
Great, thanks! :)

Great, thanks! :)
one thing I will say, dont spray wildly, those panels dont like getting squirted, i rigged a little hook so i can swing them up, foliar like a madman, then drop the panels back in to place. i had to get the set they sent replaced because we sprayed them with yucca LOL

yeah esp when you spray it, then leave it in the shade

I flicked the lights off overnight after spraying just to be safe ;) Flicked back on now and everything is fine an dandy will not dose them again so hoping this is enough.

Really don't like spraying plants in flower even if it is only 15 days and I'm not sure if Abamectin is actually food grade.
