Mt review on the 3x5" billet plates with pid controller from lowtempplates.com

They sent me the wrong playes at first. Called them up and overnighter me the correct size. No biggie. Open the new box and the playes look well made as well as the pid controller. Not sure how many amps it pulls, didn't see it on anything. Well packages, looks to be well made. Testing it out tonight with some dry ice keif in 25 micron baggies.

More to come tonight as well as pics and such.

Lol I saw the time posted not how long ago. Thought it was from yesterday yesterday.

I'll be at it today. Hope my test drive doesn't bitch up too much product. Thinking 7g keif per bag, and hope it stays closed and not bust open when it's folded closed.

Got my press, plates, pid box all set up. Temp is set 3* below my target 190*f temp in case the temp over shoots by too much. I have 11 7g and 1 5g baggie ready to go. I spoke with levi (owner of LTP), one recommendation was to make the heating element wires about 2' longer. I mounted my pid controller behind the press on the wall. He mentioned about mounting it to the bottom of the lower press plates. Makes sense now, so I might change it later on.

Have about 20 more mins to kill before I start pressing.

Status update

Temp is set to 180*f

7g keif was too much for the baggies. Had a couple tear. 5g seems to work out great with out and bag tears.

I have it set up where I'm only pumping the lever 8 to 10 times. I used to be a body man, painting and flat sanding. This is absolutely no work compared to flat sanding a hood of a car for 10 hrs straight then wheeling it out.

I would use bubble, since the water content helps push the product away from the medicine!

Sorry, squishing wet bubble is NOT going to work. Your gonna mix rosin with residual water. Which will equal a messy return. I've pressed well over 4oz of rosin in the last yr.

Only got to experiment with pressing old Dry ass Nuggies.. can't wait to Try some Bubble hash or Keef.. but man the return.isnt there.. need a damn Critical Mass? Machine!
