Come on farmers fire up the grill and show us what's cooking on your grill this summer
This is from the files is one masterpiece cooked to Perfection on the Weber kettle up at Kamp Howdy up in the Gunnison gorge
Farm raised stuffed and slow roasted over gorge woods, scrub oak and juniper
I have found juniper really adds a nice different smokey flavor
Off I go to fire it up
Get on it farmers!!!
Lets see some bbq

Cover for 30 mins. or so then sauce.
I put 2 pieces of apple wood on fire got them ignited then covered.
This is called the indirect method..
I placed pan under chicken for drippings so they do not ignite..fire on side away from meat..

Funny I used to be a purest with no Kingsford and only used chimney's for the grill but seriously cant tell a difference in flavor when its all said and done so I take the easy way now. Kingsford and lighter fluid. You will never see me with anything propane though. Stay wood only in the smoker. Briskets and pork butts are usually on the 15-20 hr cycle.

Keep it coming. I would post my bbq sauce recipe but family one so ya know how it goes....

Teriyaki marinade..
basic can adjust as preferred.
4 bottles Kikioman teriyaki sauce.
3 oranges
2 grapefruit.
1 lemon
bulb garlic
2 onions or more.
chunk of ginger
1/2 cuppa brown sugar

Rinse then Slice oranges, grapefruit, lemon, squeeze juice into Teriyaki sauce.
Slice onions, garlic, shred ginger, add all fruit into mix peels and all.
I marinade 8 hours in turkey roaster bag mixing up occasionally.
Cook all the fruit and onions with the meat. Add at end of cooking session.
Really good on a chicken and rib stack..
I stack ribs, on top of chicken, ribs, chicken, slow roast rotate 3 times. The combo of the meets cooking is awesome...

Did a New Zealand Maori traditional Hangi..
A deer got stuck in fence, had to shoot so why waste good meat Had a feast for many in tradition the elders were served first...
Hangi5
Hangi2
Hangi3

Buried in ground on hot lava rocke wrapped in collard and mustard greens..
