I too have fished for nearly 40 yrs but tbf never specifically for fry.

I'll look again, but I dont recall those dark bands on your minnow pic.

There were no dark bands on the pic he posted. There was a pronounced lateral line bud no "bands". I cant believe we're still talkin about this. The guy went out drunk and caught a bunch of fuckin minnows. Case closed. No wonder the world is so vexing. ...u tell somebody something, explain it, prove it, and provide pix and their still confused......

£2 to buy so a bargain and there was literally millions of them lol but the lake we got them from is almost a mile long so a lot of fish in there.

Also, im curious as to why u wudnt want pike in ur pond? Pike are delicious and theyre much hardier than trout.

Back to the pike thing....its a great fish to eat. Lil hard to fillet but well worth the effort. I have a bunch in the freezer from my spring fishing trip......we eat pike all the time tastes very similar to walleye or fresh water perch.

I know the feelin.....theres a lroduct i used to use b4 i retired called "monkey butt" werked like a dream oal. I'll send some w the disc golf discs if ya cant find it there......?
