I know this thread got a lil heated. But y'all put me up on some serious game... Guess who's about to collect their ac condensation. I've been letting all that free water go down the drain. Thanks for battling it out y'all.
Cant wait to see it. Take pics of collecting....just so we know you did. Then, lets see your plants after a week of using this could be option

I guess I'll chime into this shitshow.

Recollecting water from 22 quest 155s and 16 fan coil units. Been using it in coco with ZERO problems with 100% salt nutes. I cut it about 25% with tap for a top-off.

We clean drip pans twice a year and blow the drainage lines clean after every run. The water is perfectly clean with no buildup, film, murkiness or smell after sitting for a week. Every now and then drainage lines will have a bacterial buildup which is why we blow them regularly, I wouldn't recollect your water unless you are maintaining your collection system and know it's clean.

As for leaks and whatnot, if you can't tell there's a leak in your condensate you've got bigger things to worry about. I can tell if ONE unit is slightly leaking in a system that connects dozens of pieces of equipment together.

As far as drinking the water, you're fairly stupid if you think it's gonna kill you. Sure there are bacteria in it that COULD make you sick if I your system is disgusting and dirty, but come on, consider yourself blessed that your "dirty" water is still clear and sparkling. I've seen what people drink around the world and I would pick condensate water over well water in Chiapas or river water from the Ganges, any day.
Hey man I have a water softner. Its like the size of a gallon of milk...its hooked on the mainline into the house. Is that still ok to use? Tap has about a 200ppm I beleive. Im using 4 gallon carboys to collect the a/c runoff. Think I should mix half an half? Half tap, half ac unit water?

i used to run dwc but now i just do coco recirc and my feed rises apart from maybe the first few days of flower. I adjust every day, if it didn't rise i literally would have nothing to do when i visit my plants lol
Yea that's how it is with my dwc. Set it and forget it. I dump once a week and refill. Sometimes 10 days when they are small. But after a week ph starts acting up sometimes. And when they are big. I just let them drink the bucket empty and refill. My brute 10gal can holds 7gal to the bottom of the net so unless it's a monster I usually get a week out of that.

when i used to do dwc with each plant in an individual system a really good plant would drink maybe 30 litres a day at peak and feed levels would rise dramatically, sometimes reading past what my bluelab could measure. Evaporation was a factor there i am sure but the plants loved it as they were getting so much fresh food and would regularly yield a kilo plus per plant.

I haven't grown any that big but I've pushed the lb club. Around 400g but I mainly grow autos. When I get in a space where I can actually build another grow it'll be a different story. I've been in an apartment for 2 years which limited me so much... Biggest single indoor plants I've seen are Hygro hybrid and he was right about 2lb a plant when I was watching him. But that's been a couple years.

More rude Behavior... Point it out of the time, or keep it to yourself.
Or point it out now if you have the inclination.

Whats my problem. ...? Here i am w real experience not only w using condensate but also w years of experience w ff nutes. Ive provided links w proof and i still got ppl arguing w me sayin shit like i wudnt drink it like thats supposed to mean something.
Its far too often I look at threads where ppl are askin for help and ya ppl like ur buddy kendog givin advice thats unfounded and just plain wrong....

U dont.like my negativity? Go fuck urself!!!! Jk. Haha

Look dude u keep talking about these oils and chemicals but havent provided a shred of evidence to support anything uv sed yet u still insist on arguing. How is that not frustrating?
How is that not frustrating?... Get over it... or take care of it at the time.

No excuse for dog piling on somebody because you have a bad attitude one day.
If you have a real issue, address it at the time.

It seemed like you needed some reinforcements lol.

So annoying when people whine about something they've never done, because it sounds like the logical thing to whine about. intelligence may breed knowledge, but experience breeds wisdom. You don't know it and you can't knock it until you've tried it.
Yes, he did need reinforcements... He was losing his argument.

He was too busy arguing his strawman that he erected, than address the issue... Which was don't drink the water, and don't treat condensate as store bought distilled water.

I used his own link to show the contamination that can and does result from condensate.

Is that what you find annoying?... Serious logical discussion about issues that are relevant to this forum?
