one thing to remember is light penitration
you can only grow bud where light reaches

with the clones
lst/topping
however you want to do it to fill the footprint
like in the video
they grew straight up no topping with 21 days veg
and you saw how rediculous it got
so it just depends on strain and what tou are shooting for
but always expect the least that way you dont feel let down if you dont get what you are expecting

some strains yield huge
others...like my cookie cut.....tiny buds

that is the one thing that turned me of about that tall plant. You got one main stalk, then 10" below you got the rest of the canopy. and so i am thinking i am getting great light to the top cola and making the rest suffer...

I meant on MY tallest plant. eventho I peeked at it before the lights went off, and maybe i see some density improving... i look again tonight... And the clones are still alive as far as I can tell.. one of the ones that was down is about 75% of the way back up.. i am a proud poppa! My girl may have got knocked down but she is coming back with a vengeance lol...
NOW ON YOUR outside plant,,, that is what i want! It looks from the pic like you got 7 or 8 big branches and not all that bushy spindly shit........ I want 4 main branches, and the center cola, making 5 big long colas per plant. i got 44 to 48 inches vertically to work with.

Your out side plant looked fabulous! It was so beautiful, i sat mesmerized by it for several minutes, looking at the structure and trying to reverse engineer exactly what techniques you used to get such beautiful colas........!!!!! Just stunning...

So if I lst 4 branches, 1 to each corner of sq bucket, and then slow the growth on main stem so that the 4 side branches reach same height as center cola, which is what you suggested,,,, is really all I want. Just 5 branches, SUPER BRANCHES, per plant, counting the top cola... I will throw the scrog net in just to hold and position all the colas x 8,, should give me that pretty canopy that I am trying to achieve so badly... i just want to see that scrog full .... That is 5 colas x 8 plants= 40 cola canopy above scrog, and not shit below it. My scrog is 6" sqs, = 64 sq..... just fill 36 to 40 of them with longer colas than 4"....

When I look at peoples pictures,, and i see a beautifully scrogged canopy, with big fat monster colas,,, that is what i want. No spindly looking shit,, just big fat monster colas. I don't want popcorn, I want big colas,,, i want top canopy,,, that is what I want to get good at... Just filling out the canopy, and making it even... so all buds get same intensity.. as for my 600 only achieving 3x3,,, down the road i am gonna switch out my ballast for a 1000 dimmable, 400-1050 watts with super hortilux bulb.... eventho for practical purposes, that's a ways off...

I understand how to lst the branches out to the corners, but how should i slow the main top down to even the side branches out with it. What technique would you employ?

I am just sitting here thinking,, if i grew it up, 7 nodes, then topped it down to right above the 3rd node, that should accomplish getting the side branches, and main top all at the same height right? plus I would end up with 6 tops per plant too. Am I following along with what you are saying? LOL I really am trying...

I mean I did a good job making these autoas bushy and trying to accomplish getting as many bud sites as i could, but there just lil popcorn buds with just 4 inch stacks. some of the colas you had,,, looked longer than a foot!

when I topped the plant...the 2 new tops I split and lst'd until they grew out enough for my liking...at the same time I lst'd the other branches....once everything was equal....I allowed them to all grow up
that was it....pretty easy
if you look up a tutorial of mainlining it is the same thing...only I never stripped any new shoots....I just lst'd the brances out

Well I went all hillbilly.... I even put up the flag to prove it :) Hey we got to work with what we got right? I need new veg bulbs as these 4 are in the bloom spectrum. The little t5 over the clones is a veg t5 spectrum. .. Everything is so expensive lol... I think they will like there new home. It's a little warmer and humidity is gonna be higher down there, but should be fine... @Wisher619 I think I got some veg room now for a few mommas and enough space to start all the clones I will ever need :)

Yes it's the mom. I lollipop the very bottom, and cleaned up a lot of the fan leaves and she loved me for it lol... she has made a 180 :)

well that is good because the hortilux veg bulbs are 30 a piece! I think I can get 4 reg 6500k t5 for $30.

I mean it looks like it will work, since the summer time has calmed down a little. that way I can start my other fem seeds and see what I am working with and practice cloning. I can't believe all these clones are still alive. I was told 80% when your good, 50% are less for first timers. you really have a way of boosting my confidence and providing me the insight i need. I know you have to repeat stuff to me sometimes, so i thank you for the patience that that must take... and tell your wife,, that I think her for allowing you to always answer my noob questions in a VERY VERY timely manner... Ahhhhh the sacrifices we all must make to see even just one person succeed... and i get to be the beneficiary of that...

I wouldnt believe the bs people spout about growing
just because they might fail or did there first time
I have had 1 clone not make it my whole time growing

and that was because I completely neglected it
hell @ the beginning of the year I stuck a cutting in some soil in a pot outside in the dead of winter and watered it once a week....it lay over for like 2 weeks....and then out of nowhere it popped up and began to grow
if you follow the regiment almost always will work
the only other time I failed was when I tried my hand and a hydro cloner bucket....
shit was a complete failure
but what I can tell you is I have taken cuttings and stuck them in a cup of water under a light and they stayed for weeks never going limp
just chillin
stuck those in the dome and those became the last run that I did

people spout never based in fact but usually hearsay or there failures
is what I have found
I only give advice on what I have done or have been a part of....which has been alot
never any anecdotal bs
