So do I have to wait days for it to dry or is there any magical way to speed up drying a 1/2 gram nug??? Lol... why do we flush at the end if no nutes in buds?
probably about 3 days or so and it will be smokeable
as for the flush
when growing in nature
certain elements within the soil become unavailable and microbes stop participating in certain activities
so the plant wil start to utilize the elements within the plant that it has stored...in order to finish it's lifecycle
so when we flush/leach
we are flushing out available elements within the media
once flushed you still water....(ro does not need to be ph'd)
it will drink and then use what it has stored to finish it's life cycle
as the elements begin to drain from stored leaves....chlorophyll dies.....and the plant makes a push to get out all the resin it can to the leaves to protect itself so it can finish it's life
when you pull a plant that is completely flushed and faded....more then likely you will not have a hay/grassy smell that comes from green chlorophyll filled vegetation...you will only get the sweet smell of the resin your plant has produced
as the plant dries and the resin crystalizes the smell will fade
then when you jar it....the moisture from within the bud will be forced to the surface in turn rehydrating the resin.....invigorating the smell
at that point you open the jars and allow the rest of the moisture to escape...and then it is ready to consume
