just got it all finished up. she was a good rooted girl. I washed the sand off of her,,,, did a couple dunks,,,, then put her in the bucket... I give her a couple days and she should take off like a rocket... I got a question for you Wisher. It seems to me that the stems, and branches are more bendable now towards the top and last few weeks growth. Does that have anything to do with what we are feeding her? or diff light ? hps to t5?
Certain elements, different nutrients will make her grow stronger branches, etc, right? Do you get what I am trying to ask you?

yeah....def because of the light and enviroment.....
not as harsh of an enviroment so it become more flexible
once you get her in the bloom tent....she will stiffen up again

I am still undecided on that or just a 2x4 flood tray
to me the flood tray would be easier to build in the box with the res underneath the box....I will draw a picture to show what I am planning

You know that flood tray will be easier to build, and maintain, but the power of dwc,, RDWC,, and not to mention,,, how cool it looks lol... hey it matters to me :)
And I love to get to see roots. Now if you were gonna put a mat in the bottom of the table and a few inches of hydroton, so that somehow you can maintain a inch of water for the roots to stay submerged in, I might reconsider... Flood it 3 times a day or 5 very short times, so that way it also replenishes that inch of water with oxygenated water each time it does a flood cycle...

I just like the idea of oxygen, and water hitting my roots constantly..

I am thinking of running what is called a chow mix
so I will be using 25% coco 75% hydroton
that way the coco gives me a buffer
but the roots will grow much faster in the hydroton
in a flood and drain
I am thinking 2 2x4 grow spaces with 1 27gal tote res
the boxes will be side by side
that way I can grow in a 4x4 space ....much slimmer 2x8
one will run led...the other hps
then I am gonna build a multi tiered mom and clone closet
the base will be moms and the other levels will be differ stage clones
2 res under
1 for the mom and the other for the multi tiered clone shelves

Coco buffer? what you trying to buffer? Ph flux? ppm?
I read about the chow mix,,, heard good things...

the buffer is if the pump fails....the plants dont die....and the coco helps to buffer the ph as well
and is a good medium for micro life to grow

ya I have a powered backup for my internet modem/router somewhere, that I am gonna dig out and use with my new system.. you made me think of that a few weeks ago. Sometimes it doesn't auto update when you post a new message to me, ,,, prob because I am running the the tor browser. that is why sometimes i don't respond for awhile.

As for ph I have had a lot more problems with the table and the coco. Shit in the dwc, it pretty much sets itself with 8ml/gal fnb, and maybe would rise from 5.8 to 6.2 as the water/nutes ran low. The table i was doing it twice a day before i knew i could let it flux as much as you said. cause it would rise from 5.7 to 6.3 in 24 hrs.

yeah ph does flux....but it isnt a problem
but also.....what coco are you running
I have canna coco and it is extremely balanced
I never have a problem with it....and alot of F&D guys dont either
kinda set it and forget it
maybe it could be the nutes as well
although GH is pretty stable
I use Botanicare and it is pretty awesome with ph.....canna as well...same with Advanced
between 5.5-6.2
usually 5.7-6.0
I also like to run my nutes through the coco before I use it
but people
like Vader just use from bag to table
so I know it is stable
but coco brands vary wildly in ph and ec value

She putting 9th some weight. I don't think I have seen any red trics. How obvious are they? The red hairs can make them tint red sometimes and it's really hard under the hps. I have to shut it off. There is so many trics compared to 2 weeks ago...

amber is more light tan/orange then red
you will know.....because they just look differ

it will be all creamy and then some will be more colored
you can actually see the difference with just a standard jewlers loup/magnifying glass

I have been able to distinguish clear from cloudy and even some look milky???.. diff. But that's on skunk #1 which I didn't pull out the tent. I have the nutes at 550. . She doesn't seem to be using up much. She looks dried out. Leaves are all starting to yellow.. Boss I think she is leaving us.... LEAVING US WITH SOME STICKY ICKY :)
