Really close on Malawi #5. It probably could've used another week. Some of the others needed two or three weeks.

timmur: i have read your thread with interest, at first mainly b/c you were using O2 Grow emitter(s) as I am trying to get some feedback/reviews on this. O2 Grow noticed that simply placing an emitter in the epicenter of a UC system did not work well at distributing the DO to more-distant modules. To remedy this, they came up with a brand-new 12-emitter product, though it is not on their site as they have a waiting list of people that they want to clear before they formally unveil it. It is not cheap, but I am looking into it. Looking forward to your next crop and thread!

I thought malawi was an 11-14 week strain?

timmur: the easy way to determine whether the O2 Grow emitter improves quality/yield would be to place one in a module on your next grow, and not in the epicenter. Then you can compare it with the other modules using air stones. Having one in the epicenter isn't going to work too well anyway, as discussed above.

Thanks for the heads up! I found out the hard way that their system doesn't work when the emitter is left in the epicenter. From this experience I surmised the solution that you outlined: emitters in each bucket just like air stones or diffusers.

Good idea!

Timmur, correct me if i'm wrong but diden't you go back to the air pumps and bubble stones? i want the 02 generators too i hate the air pump noise!

Yeah I switched away from the O2 Grow as it doesn't seem to work in the UC. I've heard that they are selling units now with many emitters which would probably work in the UC if you had an emitter for each site.

Hey dapper thanks for the heads up on the insulation. The room you see pictured there is just where I mocked it up. The real floor will not be carpet, but I like the idea of the containment. I've been trying to come up with a good solution to that issue!

I know I'm late t0 the party, I started reading this post because I'm interested in switching to cmh.

I find using a pond liner in a great way to protect from flooding. I wrapped my room in it an it makes it very easy to keep clean as well.

So I just read the entire thread. Wondering what your thoughts are on the lights. Have you done a second run?

Thanks for the insight. I'm not even remotely close to dialed, but I'm just looking for general guidelines. Of course I'll have to adapt as the grow progresses. I'm really just trying to minimize unwelcome surprises!
I know I'm a couple years late but reading up on CCUC systems as I am on my first grow.
