ive read alot about these lights.until they get the ballast on the floor.im not taking it serious.the yields look great but i dont like that kinda weight hanging over my head.

Nice find, funk. I compared it to a similar test they did with large se hoods:

Looks like 3x3 is the go-to footprint with these cmh fixtures.

not downing your link but as a cter, wordpress is a top propaganda site imho.just a headsup for future reference.not alot of folks know that.

I don't believe that every 315 PAR and color test is falsified.

Apparently these lights have been around since '94 it's weird they weren't used for growing sooner.... Anyone know if lighting companies are working on a higher wattage single bulb like a 1k? It'd be sick to have one big cmh or any kind of grow light really that you could hang in the middle of a 10'x10' or bigger room up high covering the whole room. Anyone have any opinions/experience w the nanolux cmh fixtures? I can get them reasonably priced. :D
If I read it right, Philips developed them to emulate efficient natural lighting for auto showrooms. THATS why it aint stonertech. No stoners involved~!

We are simply figuring out hey, these seem perfect for us, too...

There are 630 units (2x315), a friend of mine loves his.

BTUs from what Ive read are watt for watt equivalent to HPS, as in 3x315s = approx 945 watts of HPS for heat. I could be wrong on any of this and am not an expert whatsoever. Just encouraging the conversation while I research my own purchases.
I dont personally own any Nanolux but from what I know, they are a reputable company.

Who knows? Brand choice may best boil down to whatever discounts available to the farmer?

I've just been looking and there's kits so there's limited amount of fucking around there fairly reasonably priced too in the grand scheme of things

Wouldn't shipping be high? Plus I get a charge for foreign exchange.

I ain't too sure how much shipping would be but I've noticed u guys seem to pay a premium for 230v gear anyway over here 230v is standard it's worth a little look into

I just had to rethink DE or CMH. Same money on a 6 pack roughly but I am a side light guy prefer 600's over 1K for that reason, will toss some penatration on the table for using 600's.

315's for me I could run a flip by dividing a room and just have a 4X8 plant foot print. Looks like a little less heat but the plants can get right up to the fixture and not fry tops off. Tough choices but for the 8 foot ceiling guys maybe a fixture that can give us a little more freedom to operate and maintain with savings.

Have you checked out the kits growershouse sells for converting your hoods to CMH?They seem to be priced well.I think they include ballast and adapter sockets for 167 bucks.

Those are the guys I'm talking to about the nanolux pricing. Haven't heard anything yet.
