GH kills it compared to V+B
I'm back to floranova bloom only start to finish after messing around with v+b for a couple harvests.
GH kills it compared to V+B
Disagreed completely, in my experience. Won't get into argument. For you, whatever works best! Respect.
For me, V+B low EC/PPM in small cloth pots 1-3g, Nectar/Oregons Only brand bagged coco (with additives in bag, eg perlite, mykos, ewc, rock dust, etc, all pre washed low salt loose mix ready right from bag).... 8x short (4 sec) irrigation feeds a day, with Nectar 4t Gods Advanced Schedule weekly hand water... 4k HPS veg at moment ....
my trees have gotten so big, whole branches now breaking from weight... biggest indoor Ive personally seen and Ive seen quite a bit.
I prefer, personally, v+b for more stable pH, more useful supplements already mixed in (enzymes, silica, etc), its 1 part not 3+, its formulated very specifically for cannabis not a decades old recipe for dutch flowers and whatnot, its cheaper.
GH - just in my experience - had a lot of problems, inc salt buildup everywhere, pH swings, and very incomplete nutrient profiles. Again, just my experience. Have a buddy in dwc who kicks mountains of ass with GH.
It also tastes like chemicals no matter the flush to me. Ive tasted a very large number of flowers, for decades, using vape guns, and they all taste the same. Seriously.
With Nectar, the terpene profiles and phenotype expressions are unparallelled. No 2 strains look remotely alike, much less taste the same.
Again, no disrepect to what works for others. Im just experimenting and finding much better results here, and am not inexperienced to say the least.
Good convo! And endless ways to grow well~!
Woah now that's how root setting is done. I've come to find when I'm ready to trans to skip two feeds and supplement with water let them starve and keep the temp right around 80 degrees 65% humidity then crank up the heat to 90 when they are re potted. I make sure my plug is well watered before it goes into its new home. I keep my soil on the dry side when I first replant helping to set roots down they're gonna start to search for water. I'm real close on my next dozen to go will take a video for anyone interestedOh, I didn't win potm, not by a long shot, @Funkadelic But if ya'll appreciate good root porn here's some more:View attachment 641351
Just to add, I would never, except for final flush, irrigate coir with plain water, it may be a bit different because of the added peat but straight water messes up the bond between the coir and the fertilizer. But, I'm also an amateur, so if it works for you then far be it from me to influence your system:)
Throw it up!Woah now that's how root setting is done. Will do mang. My old mans big time farmer in mass we plant roughly 4K Christmas trees a year and we don't whole sale any choose and cut. But this is his secrete for setting tobacco he introduces them fertilizer then keeps bumping up the batch then cuts them off a week before we plant. Combination of that and letting Sides down on the greenhouse helps them makes super sturdy stalks.Throw it up!

@Savage Henry:: How did you get your roots so nice?::
@Savage Henry
Pretty much it tells the plant when it needs to intake right? I've noticed when I run my 12 station dulcetron automated watering system with the fertilizer injector to drippers that the injector will cut off in random times.Bi-weekly microbe inoculation, tensiometer-based irrigation cycles. Basically pushing the plants towards generative growth.
I've noticed better root growth, ime, with straight coir as opposed to when it's cut with perlite and/or ewc.
But, yea, it's all about the irrigation cycles
Coco requires more ca and don't let your medium dry out feed every time that's it. Once 50% dry water again repeat. Easiest medium IMO

There's a few learning curves here bro that I had to break away from to get the most out of coco the 1st was plants in coco don't need that on off feed schedule like in soil in fact it slows them down also never ever let the coco dry out it causes salt buld up now saying this though the only time I would ever give my coco plants plain water and maybe a bit of zym is if they had for any reason dried out but they would only get it to re wet the coco then back to feed as normal I can't stress enough the diffrence that this has made growing really can't get any easier than with coco if u can work out a run to waste system with drippers just simply put the dripper on for 1 minute and measure how much they are dispensing and work it out from there we aim for 20% run off every day so basically there's no in balance the medium is at a perfect balance every day and now we're getting buds that finish like this :)that depends on your nutrients. I run AN and feed, water, feed, water, etc.\
Jungle Juice A&B, B52, Big Bud, Bud Factor x, Voodoo Juice, Great Whote myco and Sugar Daddy. All at the appropriate times of course. ph to 6.0-6.1, i lean more towards 6.1. You might too since that peat moss will make your substrate a bit more acidic
Also, once you get the feel for coco, you can let your plants dry out a little more. This will cause better and faster root growth, but like i said, once you get a handle on it and get to know your strains, you can play.
I'm setting up a small 1 light tent with a 5 pot home made dripper system is was set recirc but it's getting re done to run to waste basically it consists of a tank to catch with a pump in there to get it to the drain a tank for feed that got a pump going to a anti syphon that goes to a filter that then goes to the 5 drippers it sounds like a long list but when u see it its real easy I will get some pics and get them postedThat makes sense, I haven't completely automated my system because I anticipated it cutting off like you're describing.
I just manually check the tensiometer reading every couple hours and set my timer to irrigate for a set period (allowing for 20% runoff) whenever it hits a certain kpa threshold.
