Very good, I my go 2 weeks with light, it is 1000 watt mh 6400 k, it was a package deal, it also came with a hps 1000 watt for bloom.
Ah ok nice, I like to bloom with some MH light too, has a bit more solid blue. i tend to reverse my ratio, using a 7% red or blue depending on the main lamp setting, where I am HPS, i drop 7% 440-480nm, then I use 5% special lighting, this being UV and IR, this seems to be a nice balance that my plants like

Cation rise? No I'm still using the an 3 part cause its what i have right now. I know there are coco specific stuff but in veg it really shouldn't matter. I plan on trying new chems in bud here soon.
ah ok, sometimes people using base nutes that are foundation of BSM sugars, can get a pH climb as BSM tends to flood sticky cations which bacteria love and this makes them secrete lots of bio film, its this that causes a slight pH rise. It can happen quite quickly anyway since bacteria can double in colony mass in 2 hours, every 2 hours so long as conditions and simple sugars are present. This can slow a young plants access to NH4+ which is the majority N form preference for younger plants, the remainder is pulled from elements like Fe etc and other Amino forms thereafter, as plants mature, the need for NO3- increases as an overall percentage in MJ we found

sorry pressed enter too soon.

So bio film is above pH 6.7 typically and its this range that allows n fixing microbes to convert N2/ NO2 etc in to NO3- where more normally NH4+ is provided by microbes like Mycos or trichoderma, which secrete organic acids ergo make media more acidic, which in turn is better for conversion of N2 in to NH4+.
Where you have high pH, you have lots of bacteria and lower counts of fungal mass. typically.

Well I can tell I am not in your league, WOW! I lucky to set my timers correctly. I follow "dumb luck" strategy. Its amazing the science that you grow with. I wish I had the advantage of learning but in this state no such luck. There is a series of courses and lectures starting here soon because it Will be available for medical use only. Very limited at that, But it is a good start. We can't grow, or smoke, only vaping, edibles and topical if I remember correctly.
The real battle now is with employers, insurance companies, changing they're policies to allow one to use it medically.
I have a freind in Denver it is leagal legal for medical and recreational use, but if you fail the drug screen you may loose your job. He would benefit medically but could not work. They always get you by the short hairs.
I was a nurse, the attitude medically was mixed, some were prudes, OMG! Some could care less.
I am fortunate my PCP is in full support of medical use, he believes anything that reduces the need for narcotics, anti-anxielitics ( valium, ativan, etc) he is for it. I sent him a lot of information, scientific data that proves it is a useful drug. " Do no harm"

I have given up with ph, I know it could be lower, it is always a 7

ah shucks we just had to learn since it was the way we decided to try to make money, eg by growing plants commercially, food and meds etc not MJ but a wide variety, from Fungi to Tumeric, Moringa to broccoli sprouts.
I am obsessed with what nutrient satisfaction really is, for plant, for humans, for my dog, its this that drives me, trying to get across the shit of academic papers and on to a stream that we can all use at home.
EG what part in the human diet should antioxidants play, is there any reason why we should supplement, any time we shouldnt take them, or any form we should avoid or that work best? What would I need to eat to fill satiety and have sufficient energy to make it through my day. Is there a schedule I might master that would allow my own biology the best chance to operate in its most healthy of states, with all of my cells being satisfied and all of my biological processes working efficiently, supplying me with enough energy to get through my day with less resistance?

I am open to new ideas and always looking to use less input energy without getting a hit in quality or outcome. hence i always try new light sequences and types.

The perversion of peoples reality has been long and continued, its no surprise people that have been told one story all their lives, find it hard to flip now the money men says its OK

in soil 7 is fine mate, in soil I go 6.3-7.3 typically no sweat, in my organic grows there is no pH, only organics and biology
Very good, that is what I am aiming for more organic, kiek helped me with that, gave me good soil sense. Following it pretty closely. But organic is tricky cause just because it is labled organic it can mess up soil, as pointed out by kiek. Fortunately the girls got the Citrus-tone early after going into 5 gal containers. And I have reinforced bennies since, and will continue.
All the others here were very helpful, they saved my leafless crop lol. Again Gratias to all of you.
One thing I did a radical change is use ro water, or city water has an additive that causes the phosphorus to lock out, that finally caught up with my plants. Live and learn

yes people here are very helpful I find, some experience when you add it al up, some chancers too, but some good guys with solid exposure to problems and how they solved them when it happened to them. i say this to kieks too, anyone says they dont get problems is a bullshitter. We must fight the testosterone ego in the community at times.
living is learning mate :-) that you have understood the volatile nature of phosphorous is more than most ever do. many things can give us P headaches, not least P itself. A rock hound once told me there are 170 forms of Phosphate in soils :-)

yup its always a learning experience for me every grow so far. I dont think anyone has all the answers, everyone has their own way to baby their plants. I like to play music and hum lightly when im in the grow room (Idk my girlfriend might think im weird lol) upon other things i picked up along the way additives, nutes, trying new mediums and things im learning like this spidermites for instance was my first case of any pests. will continue to mill around and learn
