Yes the coconut flour absorbs more moisture. Got to add in some extra moisture next time. We live and learn.

That's funny. I added more than the recipe called for (it was a recipe for coconut flour) because it looked way too liquid. I had also used liquid agave instead of cane sugar so I figured a little extra would be beneficial. Live and learn as you say. Thanks for the pointer!

I never fully learned. I stopped using the coconut flour cause as you say it's hard to predict. Gotta dial in every recipe again lol.

Day 44

I got tired of waiting for the sex to show. So I took some measurements of the pots they have been in for comparison.

Then took said measurements with me on a hunt. I went to the biggest hydroponic supply store I could find. It was about 30 miles away.

Found some 2gallon pots that were not tapered. That could sit together 5 strong inside my tent. Then proceeded to transplant them all.

Besides the people rooting for me in this journal to succeed.
@Ooopsi
@OutdoorOH
@jumpincactus
@CBDEMON
@MrRojos
@ArcticOrange
@hiiipower
@G gnome
@Icristal
@FlyinJStable
@Dunge
@FrankieCoste
@Seamaiden
etc.

Here are some others who are also rooting for me.

This is the one I keep in the center below the light. It is my favorite and the roots show it.

Keep in mind bonds were off for pics & transplant. They were all chained back down once in new pots.

Here is a canopy shot showing how even it ended up being after bondage.

In order to help manage heights.
I took vertical measurements of all the plants from the soil to the canopy.

I then took the smallest measurement as the standard and buried it's soil line right at the top of its pot.

Then I took everyone taller and subtracted the small ones height from the rest. And the difference I used to bury them deeper in the pots for even heights.

I would add soil in the pot then measure available vertical room to the top of the pot. Then add or remove bottom layer to reach desired heights.

Before placing plants inside. I made sure to sprinkle some more mychorizae in there.

Once done a good watering in my shower to set the soil.

If anyone is wondering why I didn't trim those pipe cleaners. It is because I plan on using them as the plants grow taller. It should save me a few pennies not having to toss them and use new ones each time.

Bonsay Technique: If you ever get another plant with the roots circling at the bottom of the pot because of delayed repotting, you can cut the bottom 1/2 inch of roots and make a cross 1/2"deep in the new bottom, this allows for roots to split somewhere else (a little like ainlining lol) and avoids that entanglement to grow thick and strangle some of the roots which could potentially affect the canopy development

That's good to know. I've read about it. Just worried to try it I guess. If I'm presented with a more rootbound situation again I may give it a go.

I've learned better since then to up pot earlier. So I've been doing my best not to let them circle too bad.

This recent veg. The Beast was getting a transplant about every 5 days from 1 gal, 2 gallon, 3 gallon to its final 10gallon pot.

I'd say that was a first hand experience lesson on how much a properly timed transplant can help.

The other plant born at the same time but held back on 2 gal then it's final 3 gallon definitely slowed down growth past a certain point.

So it's not that plants in a bigger pot grow faster. I'd say an plant uninhibited by root boundaries & soil capacities would grow at normal speed.

But a plant in confined root boundaries & soil capacities will grow at a reduced rate once the limit is saturated. I'm just speaking generally.
