Hey everyone.
Hope everyone had a good winter break. Now it's time to get back to work. We knocked down everything at both properties and are gonna completely convert over to doing light dep hoop houses. Last year I ran two hoop houses and really liked how it worked out. So this year we are going all in on the deps :).
Hope u enjoy.

We are building raised beds out of doug fur. It's cheap wood but we only plan on using it for 2 or 3 years before this industry changes so much it might not be worth it anymore to farm. (Bummed about this). They are 8 feet wide by 95 feet long at one property and the other property they are only 80 feet long. They are 1 foot deep and we used all of the soil from the previous years to fill them up with the top layer being brand new dirt we ordered.

Basic construction and gopher netting is all that's needed. We plan on putting 120 plants into each 95 foot long bed for the early spring run. More info to come about the genetics and my strategy for the year. Right now I just want to get as much work done ahead of time so we are totally set up for when it's time to get the babies.

The other property is already done. I used all of the trimmers from last years fall harvest to take down the whole garden and build the beds in mid November. We need to add a bunch more soil to the top of those beds. We were idiots to not completely fill the beds up with dirt. Now the tractor can't fit through the small rows so we are gonna to have to do it by hand. I was thinking of buying 15 or 20 big bales of sunshine to add to each bed . ( the perlite and peat moss mix to make a light fluffy mix on top so the plants can boost right away )

It's that time again already!im really looking forward to seeing u blowing up those hoop houses.
What strains u got planned for the light dep?the usual blue dream will be on the roster I assume?
I'm switching away from the blue dream. I will probably regret it :). My plans so far are to do 1000 green cracks. 100 candy lands. 100 sunset sherbert. And 400 nightmare cookies. I will do each bed with one strain so I can harvest the entire bed at once. Then rototill it and amend it and replant it.

how hard was it to get paper work to run over 1k in plants?
It's all done by canopy size. We applied this year because we are on ag land and they sent us a letter saying they have known we're a pot farm since 2013 and we our grandfathered in until 2018 or until they figure their shit out and we can get permitted. As long as we don't increase our growing area by to much we should be fine. I kinda feel like everyone is going huge these days. Are neighbors really like us as well

The first round it's a little bit colder outside. I'm hoping to get around 20 units out of the 80 foot beds in the early spring run. The mid summer run hopefully closer to 30. Then the final replant when they finish naturally if I could get 15 I would be stoked

We got 5 beds done and then we ran out of soil. We left a gap in the middle for the sixth and final bed. We are gonna fill it from the back of the fence and move are way forwards with the back hoe then close off the end once it's all the way full. We made a ton of progress the last two days. Now we have to build 3 of the hoops and cover it with plastic and hang some cheap lights to keep the plants from flowering. All getting all my clones March 1st and I plan on vegging for one month and putting them out April 1st for flowering.
