I was looking through some old pictures and I thought I'd post this throwback. Good times! I love growing outside. Hard to beat the sun. With a quality soil mix it's smooth sailing with plain tap water through those soaker hoses, aside from pests or rains. It took me a long time to get through all that smoke after they were done. I think I grew a little too much hahahaha.

Love me a nice backyard grow. That is my favorite, minus the white months and caterpillars :)

Alright I'm only 5 days into flower so I decided to do some lower canopy clean up and things are looking good. I took a few random pictures I thought I'd share.

First up are the roots from the Deadhead OG in a coco hempy Haha.

Here's a Chocolate Hashberry I pulled out for a photo shoot.

This leaf survived being partially sucked into a shopvac some time ago. What a trooper!

I can't wait to see how she produces. If i rub the stems I get this pretty intense berry smell which is nice. After I did the clean up today I found a calyx on some of the oldest growth. I rubbed it and along with that berry smell came a chocolate smell kind of like when you smell a a scratch and sniff chocolate sticker hahahaha. If it's gonna be like that I am so happy!

*Week 1 Flower*
Alright! We are 7 days into 12/12 and things are running smoothly. I've been tucking branches and cleaning up the undergrowth in the past week. The canopy is starting to shape up well but I need to continue to tuck more branches during the stretch. Still been running slightly over .8EC(420ppm) of veg+bloom 2x a day and an addition of + life maybe once a week. I'll probably start adding my PK booster around week 3.

*CLONE UPDATE*

I just transplanted 3 DeadHead OG's and a Pure Afghan into coco solos. I ditched the Deep Purple's because I still have their seedling counterparts and they root slow as hell.

Root shots!

This is from the top I cut from the Pure Afghan.

Here is the DeadHead OG top.

She's pretty

Here are some small side cuts from the DH as well. They rooted well so why not pot em.

Here are the Deep Purples lol. What Pitiful rooting!

*NURSERY UPDATE*
The Deep Purple seedlings are finally showing deficiency :). That leads me to believe the .5EC(250ppm) feeding has allowed them to use up the extra nutrient in the coco that was necessary for HID but not the HO t5's they are under now. I'll bump the feed up to .6EC(300ppm) and I'll see where they stand. This is proving to be a good test!

Here are the recently transplanted clones! Pure Afghan top left. The rest are Dead Head OG's

You got the root game on lock JM!
Thanks bro! My cloning game used to be pretty weak but I think I figured out my past issues. I used to just soak the rockwool, plugs, coco, etc. and was getting inconsistent results with every medium even though I kept them in a dome with a heat pad.

This time I shook each cube in my hand so that a lot of the water fell out before I put a clone into them. I think that's the key. A moist medium for cloning not a soaked medium. Got 100% this time!

I think you just have to find what works for you. I did somewhat of a sips on these and they loved it. They don't have those thick ass roots like you have but they're rooted up nice. I'm gonna wait til they all catch up and move them to solos.

As long as they root it's good in my book. I used to get like 50% or less. It angered me to no end hahaha. I like that bottom feed approach.

That's one area I haven't stumbled on yet thankfully. I even got all of those seedlings that got root rot to root up and recover. I was pretty proud of that
Ya i didn't understand lmao. I thought to myself how is it possible that I've done all these runs and done outdoor runs and I can't for the life of me clone a damn plant effectively. But all is well now. Good times. Learned a lot from it hahaha.

Ya i remember that was a great save on your part!
