I'm proof of that hahaha!
But I meant as what you are required to learn... soil just seem harder. If you don't get it right the first time with your soil mix then your fighting it forever after that. You got tater correctly. Up pot correctly. Brew teas. My god.. Son I'm tired just typing all that...Yep...
Nope. As long as you follow certain guidelines. Roots need 68 degrees. And .........................................Also let's not pretend that hydro isn't equally opportune for problems to arise!!
Temps in your root zone or feeding wrong is the only problems you can have...I'm proof of that hahaha!
I meant that you had... sorry...Temps in your root zone or feeding wrong is the only problems you can have...
Water temps. Ph, ec, run pool shock... don't accept clones... no bugs.. sealed room....Nope. As long as you follow certain guidelines. Roots need 68 degrees. And .........................................
Tater correctly. .. wtf...But I meant as what you are required to learn... soil just seem harder. If you don't get it right the first time with your soil mix then your fighting it forever after that. @mandalaman I dont know anything about NFTG so I couldnt tell you about what you may or may not use in exchange for the Calmg
as for taste
I def can argue agaisnt that
I have run plenty of soil and outdoor
and indoor
the only thing that soil did for me is cause problems when in a pot
for in ground
the Sun takes care of more oil and terpene production
but indoor soil
just bugs and problems
oh I didnt mean argue with youI was not speaking to it from experience, merely saying I've commonly seen that as an argument for soil. I'll defer to your experience :)
Here is the Demeter Destiny list any thought?

NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!Hey @Wisher619 I picked up some armor si. ...
silica... what your recommendation on use of it...
All thru the grow? How quick will it start working...
I drained the system as well as I could. Gonna run forakleen in it for 24 hrs then start bloom nutes for the first time... should I add the silica?
And I imagine I should add my bloom nutes and my floralicious and once it has leveled out then check pH and add si...
Wait for it to even out and adjust pH after that if necessary. ..
Every time I add nutes do I also add si, or do I just add it at change outs...NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
WARNING!!!!!!
Always add Si first before anything
silica will cause major ph changes as well as create "Nutrient Fallout" if not added BEFORE all other nutrients
so fill the res
add the Si and allow to circulate for about 30min
then add your nutrients
wait another 30min and then ph adjust
Si will shoot your ph through the roof
I use botanicare silica blast and I use at 4ml per gal that sets my ph @ 6.0-6.1
even with Veg+Bloom that I am using now
I hit the same @4ml per gal
every Si is different and more or less consentrated so you have to experiment to see how much to add
I would actually fill a gallon jug with ro and run the suggested Si and your base right now
and check it every half an hour
till it completely settles
that will tell you how much ph down you may need or how much less Si to use
I like the cell wall strengthening properties of Si but I pretty much solely ise it for ph with the added benni's
I run Si all the way up to 2 weeks before harvest
I do a first flush and allow
the medium to completely dry then I start feeding water only for the last 2 weeks
just add at changeoutsEvery time I add nutes do I also add si, or do I just add it at change outs...
Awesome. Thanks...just add at changeouts
