She's growing pretty fast now. Decent progress since wednesday but I have to prop her up with a shotglass solo cup cuz she leans. Never had to do that before lol.

Yes sir 100% coco. I didn't start her in a solo. I just placed her directly in to a #1 plastic pot and that will be her home till chop. I don't think It's quite 1gallon but almost. Since it's kind of an experiment in my veg/nursery area I didn't want to put her into anything bigger and go crazy. Just a test run per say. She's been gettin .2EC of food to maintain the coco cations and pH, but soon I'll bump it up to .4EC to really start feeding her. This is gonna be fun.

Exactly as i done with the ec.... Ya you are off to a good start! Good planning and knowing exactly what you wanted to do, and not micro managing your grow is evident.

Well this girl is ready but I think she be fine going another week while the rest finish and they get a good flush... she got lots of red trichs. And a clear here and there..

@Ron101 you might as well follow along with my grows so u can see what hydro entails...
Plus we got some good ppl on my thread... even some dirt farmers to help u with your first soil grow. ..

Your welcome.... So I know your as green as they come... So tell us what you got now and what your set up is... lights, grow area, and what You have to set up your first grow?
Some personal questions. You own home? You got good job? Are you married or have a woman that acts like your wife? Lol I'm sure you probably wondering wtf... lol... I explain after the answers.. now don't post where u work or anything lol

And to explain ph. Ph is a measurement of how acidic or alkaline your water is. The reason that matters is because certain elements are available only thru certain ranges. Soil is usually at 6.8 and hydro is usually around 5.8 When you get to far away from them numbers then your plant cant uptake nutrients as efficiently and will start to show problems.. In hydro you just stick the meter in the water take a reading and use ph up/down to re adjust....

I have a homemade grow box. Inside is 20x20x40. Cfls. Roughly 200 actual watts. 5000 and 6500k. And intake and exhaust fans. That's about it. I am married to a great woman. Also smokes. Not nearly as much as I do but hey.... Lol. We own our own home on a dead-end street off of a dead-end street. We have the last house and own the whole corner. Both sides of the road. Plenty of privacy. Also I am a lumberjack so I make pretty good money.

Excellent on the job, home, and awesome wife....
The job because this hobby isnt cheap. Will any friends down the road be giving donations? :) best way to ask lol :)
As for the home that is because you cant stay in a 20x20x40 very long, so you better decide weather you got a closet in basement, garage, or if your gonna have to buy a tent. I started with a 4x4 tent used for 75 and now i have a 10x11 room. So be honest with yourself on where your going with this..
And awesome wife because, not every woman wants pot plants in her house, AND they tend to change thier mind when they actually see you being successful, and she pokes her head in the tent and the plant is bigger than she is! Plus she sees what you put out on equipment, she may think you lost your mind.

@incogneato @mandalaman how much you guys done spent and how long you been growing now?

Yeah like I said space is no issue. I have a two room basement plus a coal cellar a 10x10 shed with attic and a 2 car garage. All of which I can use as I like. I want to try a few small grows different way and then move to my shed and expand. Also my wife don't care. And she don't go in any of those places anyway lol

You mean how much I tell my wife I've spent or ACTUAL numbers haha! I honestly lost track but I'll try to add it up as im curious too. I know i still have a bunch to spend :shockedninja:.....My wife doesn't smoke but once in a blue moon but she's been awesome about it. As long as I don't stink up the house she's cool. I've been growing since Oct last year and just now in week 3 of flower of my first photos ( don't judge me lol) I just winged it though. I barely had shit to get started and just pieced it together along the way.

awesome. Well i will get you a lil list of things that will get you going. I will admit im not a big believer in cfl's.... And a light is gonna be your first big expense...

Im about 2k too, but Aliens dropped that back off last harvest.... My first bean popped on july 4th last year, and my 4 th harvest is nearing its end in a week or so...
