Im about 2k too, but Aliens dropped that back off last harvest.... My first bean popped on july 4th last year, and my 4 th harvest is nearing its end in a week or so...

Yea I'm also thinking a few aliens are going to steal some of my crops too. Hopefully the are feeling generous :greyalien: the good news is I am running perpetual now so there shouldn't be anymore long veg periods.
On the cfl note, they work, just very slow. I'm vegging my clones and seedlings under them right now until I get my t5. I'm too cheap to run a 600w mh for them right now lol.

your growth will be so much different with cfl's.. They are pretty good at cloning i think lol... If i was to promote a light it would be a cmh 315 watt... Its cheap to run monthly, will give you a good yield, can be used thru the whole grow, bulbs last a lot longer, and the most important, they run really cool compared to mh/hps lights.
Im gonna guess that it will cost about 25 to 35 a month to run, and thats pretty cheap considering you should after a couple harvest, should yield about 300 grams every 2 months.

Too bad some of them wernt ancient aliens willing to trade us some 70 and 80"s seed :)

They are pricy!But yes they are worth it. Here is one reason why. All lights put off heat, and it costs to remove that heat, so the less heat you have to deal with, the better. Hps need hoods, fans, ducting, all adds up... plus you got to change out bulbs every 4 months or so at 60 a pop. Cmh lasts 50000 hrs and runs extremely cool..
