So now I'm really confused. I bought a BOSSLED II 600w grow light. It's not dual spectrum though, which I really think I'd like to be using instead. I was looking at MARS grow lights, but apparently they are not very good. Heard VIVASPECTRA lights were good. Then I heard they're not. I'd really rather not buy these lights to find out if they work or not, I would prefer just buying one once and not have to worry for 50,000 hours or whatever. I'm sure this thread has been posted by many others before, but any input would be much appreciated. I know they are good for veg, but I'd like to see pics of other grows, particularly right before harvest, and info on which light it is. Thanks in advance!

with the research i did.. and the warranty plus price.. i went with Pro LED. i went with a 280 model, i need two of them for my tent tho.. but cash is short so i will make do with one and a few plants..

but yeah from what iv read and the grow log iv seen o that light.. its good company to look into. ill be able to tell you more in 5 months.. from what i hear the biggest complaint with mars gear is it just does not last..

warrety was important to me, even if i have to pay return shipping etc.

I did have a mars 300w but sold that, never got used for more than three months. I've heard good things about one model that has German diodes. They are made in the USA I think. I'll have a look at PRO. Thanks for that!

Those Kind lights are pretty bad ass. There's a few people on the farm using them with some really nice results. That's what I would get if I had the cash. On the spendy side

Look into cob led fixtures.cree and vero brand cobs.some decent grows with citizens as well.all those epistar led fixtures are second class imo.i have a journal here in this section with diy cob fixtures.they are killing my hps/mh grows :)
You can get prebuilt cob fixtures from pacific light concepts and timber grow lights if you just want to buy em and plug em in

Think ! If whomever created the sun knew red and blue was all we needed, don't you think that is what we would see, instead of various white spectrums?

That said, not all white based panels are equal, but I put you on the track. Follow it. That's all you get from me

This dude knows his shit. :) I'd go with this advice

Now that you mention it the diodes on my light unit are epistar :D seems to grow well but I feel as if I'm just waiting for it to fail on me. I'll look into the cob lighting. Thanks for that!

Check out my current grow journal: https://www.thcfarmer.com/community/threads/newbie-here-first-indoor-grow.86448/#post-1839365

I'm running (2) KIND K5 XL 1000 LED's, and so far so good...

The latest and best tech are white COBs and quantum boards and @sixstring knows his shit and all kinds of good shit about COBs and such. Will not mislead.
Thanks for the kind words, but im just passing on info i have learned from some real smart fuckerz,growmau5,greengenes (plc) and robin @ ngl have taught us more than we can even imagine as well as a few others.but those 3 usually bring us the latest tech as its developing which is nice lol.but i have seen the light and quality cobs are definitely awesome for growing.with that im bout due for an update :)

I run one of Robin's Photon 180's and absolutely love it. 3500k 90cri and real even coverage for 2x2.5 feet! Timber also has some great stuff these days. GG's Apache vs thouie was the beginning of the end for blurple. Also had a UFO cob thing I think.

what about you mr power moves ? lmao

@REALSTYLES has one of the best videos on YouTube, a classic from the start. Funny, but Mars is only a thread away here. I can't understand a corporation that large not introducing an "Elite" line of cob based lights given the low production costs and simplicity. There are things about marketing today that escape my grasp.

Hi , I did my research and bit the bullet and got me a BudMaster GOD - the results were very impressive I will post some pictures next week as I just flipped them and they had been in a cold attic at a friends house so needed some TLC - I got 250g off of a maser auto in 10 weeks seed to flower ,I have some AK47 and Incredible bulk under them just now -I will happily show you the results as they happen watch this space....

off subject but ill go back on topic next post.
Incredible bulk / ??? do have pedigree knowledge about this strain???

Did you mean Incredible Hulk?

Lighting is not my subject of expertise. I will be doing some experiments with lighting. I'm guessing that mixed lighting will be the best option. Thread observation has me liking those cobbs when standing on their own. CFL seem to be killing it also. I'm getting a live demo and play with LEDs ... I'm liking them.
But for me it is to incorporate the sun will be the greatest trick. Zero lite and nute bills is the direction isnt it?

Hmmmm Marshydro not any good? I beg to differ.....
