@dan1989 I'm vegging under LED now, and I wouldn't go back. Bought veg8 panels from next light at 535$ each but they blow t5 HO out of the water with less power, no heat, and no buying new bulbs. Still using HID for flower though.

What I'm thinking. I've already made up my mind about hps for flower. Thanks for the input, I'll look into that make of panel you mentioned

yeah I use mix spectrum for flower, HPS plus some MH thrown in for shits and giggles. I'm into these LED's im in the midwest and so's the company headquarters, was pretty skeptical of LED until my local growshop had an anniversary party and I met the sales rep for the company and got a feel for the tech. glad I took the risk on the panels, wouldn't be blowing three times that on flower LED's just yet.

I've used crappy cheap £100 panels and made the mistake of judging LED lights by that.
I'm of the opinion that, given the prices of LEDS that can actually do a good job at flowering weed, they're still at that stage where they are more suited for industrial grow ops, until a decent panel becomes affordable for the average Joe bedroom-hobby grower like me. I can't justify right now spending 1200 plus on a solar storm or whatever just for few hundred grams. I'm really interested in COB lighting. I know one guy on here who's the fucking MASTER of diy LEDS. He's got my attention tbh. Until that time comes where I build my own (and I will, because my man is getting KILLER yields with his cobs, but I've used hps and know it works.

Btw I get that the panels you are using are NOT cheap and crappy, in case that's what you thought I meant, I meant I can't afford the shit you guys are rocking :D

I've been looking at an LED to supplement my t5s with. Also looking at a 315cmh. Worried about heat with an HID light since I can't do much ventilation.

hi guys how goes? iv had quite the pity party for my self today it would seem, started off bad that is for sure. hah, and I just stayed in bed all day. just got up not to long ago.

i could use a bowl ( i have like 4 bowls of this shit jack here im saving for sick mornings since i cant get high off it but even then it did not help today shrugs.. i was spoiled i guess growing up in the mountains of oregon.. makes yo wonder if az ever gets real herb hah.. of course it does but its the rich fucks on the hills smoking it up, stingy fucks. hah).

. get high for me. if my car was running hell id heat up some knifes on the headers yeah a bit redneck but fuck it.. i have a modern digital stove, no torch. hah, running out of ideas.. since the bowl thing did not work for me. hah.

i did start 4 more critical kush seeds.. figure i better till i get some known female clones.. shrugs.

@dan1989 yeah they are more expensive up front but worth it for veg only. If you wanna go start to finish in what we call a five ft by five ft over here lol I would consider a 600w or 1000w HPS. I also have been eyeing the COBs and in that case @sixstring is the man to see.

Thanks breva. I'm in coco/sphagnum mix. I use Nectar for the God's nute line. They're under 1 1,000w hps for now but may add a 600w mh soon to help out since I moved em to my 8'x4'x8' bloom room. I have holy grail kush, r.k.s, spliffs strawberry, and cannalope haze in 3 gal smart pots. Then I have 3 phenos of starfighter x longbottom leaf, 2 spliffs strawberry clones and a r.k.s clone in 1 gal hard pots. I wish there was a way to shorten that all lol. I'm on my first run here and have only harvested an auto so far.

I just blew $500 yesterday on a few things. I think I'm up around $3k U.S for what i have so far. And that's just for a hodge podge of my first grow setup lol
