Just came in for some tea. theres a cold front moving in, winds up to 50 now.....I have enough shit in my eyes to grow a plant. When I was coming in, I looked over at the chickens, they are all pinned to the fence by the wind. bad feather day........

back to it then, tool belt on, no crying.

Got all the cross members on. the dirt it is a-blowing. Got all the tools gathered, now im iside to drink some beer. there is no forking way im trying to hang 6' sheets of tin in this weather. Nooooo sir.

Its meant to rain tomorrow. that ought to be weird. Havent had any measurable precipitation except for one storm a few months ago. Now they call this area the high plains. But, when the mountain men came thru, mapping, on the way to the rockies, they called it the great desert.

The keychain thing is funny. I have some coon dick bones in the freezer, baculuum theyre called, im going to make into necklaces. heres what they look like. i collect em when I skin in the winter. Coyotes have em too. alot of animals in fact. My wife has one as well, but its purple and made out of plastic. she keeps it in her sock drawer.

Kept a pair of crossed coon dicks hangin' from every truck I owned, 'ceptin' the latest bus. Rednecks around here used to sharpen one end and use 'em for toothpicks.

I got tired of buying D batteries for the Old Hen's, so I bought her a concrete vibrator. Happy wife=Happy life.

Let me know when you're gonna sell one o' them necklaces. They'd look kool as hell!

Yup, mink have em as well! Folks use to come by the fur farm I worked on and cut em out of the carcasses at skinning season. I don't like dead animal parts hanging round my neck!

I dont necassarily want to wear one either. alot of folk would however. When you peel a $5 coon and hes got 3 more on his person you might collect it however. We take these coons on farm jobs where there are pest problems and we go clean it up.

I also catch alot of incidental coon on other species sets, and they go to market as well. Alot of the reason we get into farms is because well take the extra time to do control work while were catching other more profitable furbearers.

Also its real funny to throw a bag of coon dicks on the poker table at 3 am when your drinking whiskey and doing dabs.

If I didnt farm and have a family/home place id be a govt/private trapper in the summer, and trap the wyo mountains in the winter. live in a tent.
