hey ive been reading around and people suggest not have a full pot of super soil for your plants. but if i cook it fr a minimum 6weeks and the plants are going to be almost 2 mnths old from seed when they are put in soil. will they be ok will all super soil or should i have a few bags of reg soil on top? ill be transplanting them from 3gal pots to 100gal smart pots.

also can i cook the soil in the smart pots or do they breath to much?

I did a supersoil , my plants did fine in the pots
I did nt put soil in pots for atleast 45 days

I was watching that thread last year ;). I'm using the same subcool recipe, going to add soybean meal to my mix tho( slow release nitrogen to help in flower) and possibly some sea-90 If I can get my hands on some
Good idea! My plants ate so much nitrogen last year during week 1-4 that they started to yellow off (nitrogen deficient) keep giving N during those weeks

Just looked over the thread again and I had commented on taking notes about ur soil... look at me this year lol. Also I got some nano breathe on the way ;). Only product I've ever seen that is a co2 foliar spray

What exactly is the purpose of the cover crop u plant?

Are you going by Subs recipe? Or a modified mix. I'm working on a slightly simplified formula. Concentrating on getting the soil nice and "alive" that's the key.

Yea it's subs recipe. Only thing I'll be adding is some soy bean meal. Not going to change much since it's my first try. I'll make adjustments next season depending on how plants griw

I've been using passive Hydroponics from day one bag of Pro mix bag of perlite and Botanicare line. I've recently had to use some stuff that I'd rather not mention but, but I'm trying to get it how the hole living soil thing works and how do you get the microzea? ( I know I misspelled that £uck it). And other microbes and bacteria and what nots. I'm trying to get that whole thing going. But, the last time I used anything remotely organic like plant tone or Marine Cuisine. We got gnats like a sumbitch!
I know I'm asking for a lot information. But I'm going to attempt to put out some 14 star cookies and I I'm going to do a comparison a girl with my current method versus the organic method.

So, I recently flushed 4 plants in 5 gal containers. . . Re-used the soil and added 2 different Dr. Earth amendments. The fruit & flower , Tomato - Tone. (It's Dr. Earth for tomatoes & fruit) and lastly EWC and perlite. I'm just going to play with it and see what works best for the strain.
