with all the topping, super croping & everything going on make sure you feed your plants.the solo looks a bit light in color and under fed to me.Keeping your plant in the right size container and proper feeding is your #1 priority to get the best results from what ever type of training you use.

thank you for your advice. yeah next watering/feeding ill be transplanting the 4 solo cups..

im just happy iv not killed them yet to be honest.. i really have no natural ability for this stuff im afraid. but if i can fake it, and grow herb that gets me stoned ill be happy.

in Cali you get approved...........same day
you see the doc, they look over your records and give you a physical.....then they say yes/no.....if yes you pay your money....they sign the Recomendation and stamp it and upload you into the system and grant you a # that anyone can look up to find you and your care doc and rec
You can even go online. Pay 59.00 USD and a Doc will call you back in 5 min. 5 min phone interview and he emails your recommendation. Card and stamped red comenin the mail in 3-5 days. Bang

that is kick ass.. i have to spend 240.0 to renew my card. it was suppose to get cheaper but went up in price.. fuck this state!

@rmoltis i think i will try your tray with water thing for the solo cup cause it will get stupid if i have to water 2 times a day. hah. for now im ok. but soon its gonna warm up. heh once i get the tent setup.. as right im just leaving the door open and letting them chill with the temp the room is at about 76 degree for last 3 days.. at night i zip it up, and it went to 82 last night.

so they should be thankful! summer is coming for them and they gonna need to cake up the protection for my crippled ass. laughs.

are you in coco?
if you are running soil it is good to let dry out about 50% well almost totally dry
then you soak again
but if in coco then yeah you should be watering at least once a day

My general rule of thumb.

When your plant gets to the point it needs watering once a day or more.
You need to transplant it.

Giving it extra water in a tray helps to an extent. But if you are in a dry hot place she will just use that water transpiring to stay cool. Then will dry out quickly again.

If you did do this method you would still want to allow the plant to reach dry again. If you constantly leave her in a wet puddle of soil. She can get root rot, mold, she can starve from lack of 02 to the roots.

I liked using it on the beast because the soil had a large root system, and could drink a lot. Along with lots of branching and tops to suck the soil dry.

The warm temps (°82-°87)and %1 rh were also a contributing factor accelerating the moisture depletion on the soil and plant.

I would give 1.25 gallons to the 10 gallon pot. Then I would add an extra half gallon and it was gone from the tray within a few hrs. Followed by 2 day dry cycle.

yeah i understand not letting them sit.. im just talking about the solo cup here 2017.. the rest will get transplanted..

im in dirt, soil.. yeah im letting them have there dry period. laughs. i learn early on.. i was water happy.
thank you,
chris.

I was about to comment in the thread, that at this stage, you can water your plants every two - three days, unless it is drying out to quick.

But you are in SOIL, so every 2 days will be fine...

Gotcha, this is where having a plants feeding requirements going higher than it's soil and root system can provide gets tricky.

Since you can't constantly feed in soil you have to water, dry, water, dry. So an advanced system would have a drip ring on pump set on a timer to feed the plant small amounts multiple times a day.

If your home all day you can do it manually. Who needs timers, you are the timer :borg:

I've been watching my runt dry out the past few days lol. I'm feeding her today when the lights come on.

oh i did not know so i should not feed my larger plants next time? just strait up water?

yeah the solo cup 17 thing is just for kicks.. i have no clue if it will survive. i just growing it to get a clone. and who knows maybe get a 1/8th of bud. laughs

i have micros yet i need to get back strap molasses for.

yeah im home i can do whatever manule.

If you have microbes. But no molasses yet. You could use another sugar source (honey/ sugar/ brown sugar).

But yes generally a watering or 2 between a feeding helps reduce the chances of nutrient buildup and lockout situations.

During flower I used the sugar syrup left from a can of peaches instead of molasses one time.

yeah i have to go to town tomorrow ill find something.

some honey would be easy to find.

it takes 48 hours to cook i guess.. i do not think ill be able to use them this water the 1g plants will need water either tomorrow night, or following. its nice sticking your finger in the dirt a inch to get a better feel for how much water is in the soil compared to just lifting.

now i did feed the baby's, and the solo cup.. next time baby's only get water. and hope i do not fuck it up. hah. they were hungry tho so maybe ill be ok.

but the solo cup, ill give water next time.. then i guess watch it and try to figure out a feeding system should be fun.

chris.,

so pretty much any sugars can work.. why is back-strap always recommended?

chris.

Black Strap Molasses is recommended because of the way it is refined. It contains more vitamins and minerals.

"To make molasses, sugar cane is harvested and stripped of leaves. Its juice is extracted, usually by cutting, crushing, or mashing. The juice is boiled to concentrate it, promoting sugar crystallization. The result of this first boiling is called first syrup, and it has the highest sugar content. First syrup is usually referred to in the Southern states of the U.S. as cane syrup, as opposed to molasses. Second molasses is created from a second boiling and sugar extraction, and has a slightly bitter taste.

Blackstrap Molasses

The third boiling of the sugar syrup yields dark, viscous blackstrap molasses, known for its robust flavor.[8] The majority of sucrose from the original juice has crystallized and been removed. The caloric content of blackstrap molasses is mostly due to the small remaining sugar content.[9][10] Unlike highly refined sugars, it contains significant amounts of vitamin B6 and minerals, including calcium, magnesium, iron, and manganese; one tablespoon provides up to 20% of the recommended daily value of each of those nutrients. Blackstrap is also a good source of potassium.[11] Blackstrap molasses has long been sold as a dietary supplement."

well the 4 solo cups needed water last night.. i probably held off a day late.. light is light hah.. anyhow.. solo cup #4 is a lighter shade of green.. im thinking its not like the food i gave it.. glad you mention that or i would of feed the big plants again.

hah, at least next water they get transplanted and the soil will keep them alive and ill be ok.. not dead but i fucked up.

chris.

and here is the second fat leaf pancake growing plant i think.. it looks and is growing just like the other one did that turned into a pancake growing style plant.

so i guess i have at least 2 pheonos?
chris.
p.s
only two of the 4 solo cups i feed last night are showing any change from feeding ( or maybe they were hungry, and this is just teh result of not feeding a day sooner i dunno ).. so i guess some are more picky than others at this stage but who knows im learning as i go.. one fuck up after another.
laughs..
