If I had higher ceilings I would still only try to bud up about 2' thick with artificial lighting. No quality when stretching the light further.

But I would likely grow them taller and lolipop them for easier maintenance.

Like you say outdoor is very different conditions.

However we still never cut anything off the plant in my friends Greenhouse either. We tend to get loose buds down low when the plants over grow and crowd each other in the garden bed.

So we prune for air flow and buds tighten up.

Of course those plants can be 14' tall when ripe. The sun doesn't have any penetration problems.

My only real point was the pruning or defoliation are tools to be used when needed. Or for a specific purpose. Not magic yield enhancers. Those techniques actually hurt yield in side by sides in my room every time.

Except if I prune the lowers out I get big buds up top. Fewer of them. Yield lower or same. Just more big tops and less lower buds.

Just like tomato plants. :-)

Thank you for the tips brotha. I did notice that with my sf x lbl's , the bottom nugs are nice. Smoked a tester joint by itself last night. I really like the smoke and its not finished yet. I got a bag of ffof today. All of my next round of clones are going in soil. I really like the health of the soil clones I have going.

I agree. When I was younger we got into blunts but I don't smoke them now for the same reason. I get it though, just breakin balls lol

I actually got out and kayaked the lake I live next to. Man I'm hurting today. Lol

Yeah man. I can't wait for the river trips to start.

There are 4 major rivers and all the tributaries all around me. And it is really beautiful in the west Michigan woods. It's hilly in our part of the state with clay in the ground making land features and huge sand dunes nearby from the over logging along Lake Michigan.
