She is spec'd for 60-70 days

No matter what happens it will be ok

I'm just stressing

Today she measured in at "14

How about you wait a month to start the flower, That would buy you the time you will need to get back home. During the time away you could Set up the watering either by timer or have internet installed a couple days before you leave and disconnected the day you get home. Most companies there is no termination fee if its in the first 30 days

It is growing too fast for that. It's "14 and approx 4-5 days from now it would be at my ideal flipping point ("18) But that would put the flower finish while I was gone which is worse .

And waiting longer it would be overgrown.

I don't need or want internet, nor do I want strangers entering my home.

My only option was to flip today.

I bought the titan controls eos1 humidstat online today.

I can hook it to the exhaust fan to keep the humidity constant (or at least until it dips below desired humidity.) But it would at least slow down the drying.

Thanks for the idea @EventHorizan

You could be like me and never go away for more than 5 days. My parents want me to come visit them in Florida but when I told them if I do I would fly in on one day then leaves 3 mornings later they act like I don't love them. :(

3 to 5 days????? Wow... I never knew you could dry that quick. If had branches hanging in the basement with no control and they been there 10 days! And they still aint quit ready... close... u must have no rh. if you have them in a sealed room (tent) they will build their own rh as they dry...
Nice one man! Coming through for R!

I really like the idea of setting up an automated drip system and waiting to flip so they finish while away. I was about to suggest it before reading about how the plant is growing to fast for that. I also assume trimming her back for the extra needed time would just destroy the FOC's beauty.

My recent run I actually let my plants dry in the tent with no circulation. I just opened the door flap every day or so to check on them and let some humidity out. I left the bottom flaps open too. This extended my dry to almost 14 days(on purpose) or I would have gotten 7 so I can attest this works well. Now coupled with that titan controller I think Events idea should be perfect while you're gone.

Essentially if you maintain the correct humidity you could even cure in the tent right?

This round I set it up where the 20 gallon pot had a full new fresh bag of roots organic potting soil at the bottom. The top was filled with my ROLS.

I timed it so that once her roots reached that fresh media she would explode with new growth. And it would help me minimize fertilizer inputs this round.

If I were to wait longer she would consume all that fresh media in veg and it would not sustain her through the potential 11 weeks of flower. Causing me to raise inputs (which is not what I had engineered for this rounds experiment).

So to best keep my engineering most closely in check to monitor results most accurately. I had to flip now.

Plus like @justiceman said. It would change The guided shape and end result of the F.O.C. training. This is the point of time where all the vertical branches thicken/stiffen up to support their own weight.

If I for example topped them all. The new branches growing out would be smaller and weaker, growing smaller buds from the smaller possible flow of nutrients through the smaller stems.

My best bet is to flip yesterday, go the full 11 weeks. Water the plant the final day before harvest. Hang dry whole in the tent with the humidstat connected to the exhaust fan.

The only problem with this idea is that when the humidstat stops running my apt will wreak from lack of carbon filtration :speechless:

I may get busted while I'm gone for 3 weeks....
I'm starting to think this idea may not be the most ideal

Worst case scenario I will just run the tent at idle while gone and if overdry when I return then oh well.

Maybe I can fully saturate the 20 gallon pot before I go to help keep humidity in the tent more sustained for a longer period of time.

do u have a second inline fan? What room is your tent in? How sealed is it? If your tent is in a closed room just run filter with fan sitting on top filtering the air in room. close up room good. U be fine... Honestly i think your gonna come back to a beautiful surprise.. be your best yet! So mark my words rmol, your gonna be all right, even better. your gonna do so well, and be so happy with me, that your gonna send me some of that original OG perfectly dried herb :)

Hmmmmmm.....
Without stating it's exact location.
My apt is a big airspace where all rooms are connected.

So the stank would be all over the home. And being in an apt with neighbors in a very hostile state would be taking a huge risk.

even tho my plants look like a fucking jungle.. they are only 10" shoot. but they have lots of branches wisping around that will need to be put in a net.. once i get a drip pan.. so in a week or two maybe.. if not i will just water in the tent if i have too. we see if i get to flip tonight.

i took the titan timer and made sure it would work for my 12/12 on a small LED>. h ah i do not want any surprises.

With my home sealed during summer (now). My a.c. runs and cooling the air raises the %rh.

I have my dehumidifier set to %50
And my home is around %44-%50 now.

If I'm lucky and turn off my dehumidifier the rh% may climb even further with just the a.c. running.

If I could keep home air between %50-%60 %rh and just leave my tent cycling on its lowest fan speed. This would leave the tent sealed and stank filtered. But do you think that would be enough %rh for a good slow dry?

Ive never had the rh% this high before.

that would be perfect.. my ac actually lowers my rh.. never heard of it raising it...

Air conditioners actually dehumidify the air.

well shit homie... Im out of ideas... sorry..

Your ideas are very good and I appreciate them. It's just this is a 100 year old home that was gutted and shittily interior remodeled. Has all sorts of leaks between other apts and the outside.

I lift up my ceiling tile and the ceiling is falling apart with the floorboards of the upper floors showing. So i HAVE to keep the stank filtered %100 or else I risk major failure.
