Maybe I should germ a bag seed and start it in rockwool and just play with it, see if i can get a feel for it before it matters... Materfact that is what im gonna do!

That is exactly what i need to automate my reservoir changes..
I would like to set this up so I could leave town for a week in the future, and still do anything I need from my smart phone...
Hell im getting ready to design me a 1 inch bumblebee wifi controlled drone that I can use with my vr headset to look at the plants when im on vacation :) :) :)

And if you are gonna risk it you might as well go big and add two more for your 8 buckets. You should probably have at least 10k set aside for lawyer fees too just in case. It sucks to have such low limits though. It should be 6 in flower and clones + veg don't count. It may take forever to pheno hunt with such small numbers.

I agree with the veg/clones not counting! Well im def not tearing my system apart for 1 plant and yep prob add 2 more and make it 3 over...
Ive always been hard headed!

Back when I was allowed 12 (12 veg but 6 in flower) I ended up with like 46 lol. My wife finally got mad and I had to cut it down to 6. I've been being good this time. I figure since the clones don't have roots yet they don't count. When they root I'll give 6 to my friend. He finally talked his wife into letting him grow and he's going to be watering mine while I'm on vacation next week.

Its hard keeping that plant count down. if you count my clones i got 35 right now :(

13 for me, but I grew one extra because I didn't know if White blaze was male or female. Now I know the bigger one is female I'm going to cull the little one, give away 6 and be right were I should be. Hopefully one is a keeper! The pheno hunt has me only flowering 3 at a time. I just got to find the keeper and grow bigger plants and I'll be ok.

So wisher u dont think that my plants will stumble for a day or so going to new feed?
And when we think about my ec, and what i run compared to what you run,
my temps of 84 play in to that any?
You are prob about 77 and im 84,
wouldnt that change the equation any?

So I asked the guy I bought the system off of...
why he was selling it after just 4 months...

Here was his reply,,,

I have a family and I just realized that it is doing more damage than good. I let the hype get to my curiosity and found out that it is not what they say it is. Not for me. Although the system really grows the plants. You have to know how to start them though. Make sure the water level is set level with the bottom of the basket so the seedlings do not drown. The bubbling action will force a mist up to the seedling roots. Make sure you do not let the rockwool dry out until the roots get into the solution. Then they will take off. Another mistake I made was not clipping the ends of the roots as they grew. When you clip the roots, it causes more side roots to develop which allows more root area to be exposed to the air in the solution. If you just let the roots grow straight down then you get less exposure. The more the roots are spread out the better. I also found out that the 25 dollar ph pens are better than the 400 dollar blue lab meter because this meter is subject to power surges. It happened to me and screwed everything up. Caused my ph reading to be way off. Make sure you keep an eye on the air hose going into the nutrient reservoir. I stepped on it a couple of times and dislodged it which shut off the air flow. Days before I realized it. Not good. If you go down too far on the ph using ph down, never use ph up to fix it. You will have to drain everything out and start new. The ph is the toughest thing to get right. But it is awesome when it is correct. I would always get the ph around 6.0 and let it rise to 6.5 and then have a plastic bowl container and put a couple of ml's of ph down in it and then fill it up with the solution by holding it under the water entry in the nutrient solution reservoir until it was full then pouring a little at a time into the nutrient reservoir and allowing it to circulate and watching the ph and doing it over until the ph was right. Never put straight ph solution in the reservoir. It will stunt the plant. Good luck. I want to have a clear mind. That is why. You need a chiller to keep the water at 65 degrees or the roots will not make it. The hoses from the chiller to the reservoir and the pump to the chiller are clear. You can get it at home depot or Lowes. I did not send them to you because they had crud in them.

Well i guess I can understand that about pure ph down, but no ph up?
maybe something to do with the nutes?

I was thinking the same about not using ph up if you overdo the down. I've done that 3 or 4 times with no problems. IDK

my temp is 86 and my rh is 45 right now
just how my area is going
my feed is 2.0
ph 6.0
I just upped my feed to 2 min per feed because the roots are so thick that the entire 5x5 square is just roots
when this girl is done I will take a pic of the root ball
oh and I am on day 63
all white pistils
there are a few that have browned but overall
all white and stickin straight up still
