Some people got there ways and they're stuck in them. I saw same person saying that seeds won't pop without some kind of dome over the cup. I'm a "noob" but guess I've just been lucky
Also told me if I defoliated my plants I might as well quit growing cuz I won't harvest more than a QTR oz.
I have no problem discerning good and bad info but some people don't. IMO that is spreading false advice.
I'm still confident I will harvest just a little more than a qtr this run. We'll see

You're fresh at growing but you obviously did your homework pretty darn well. And I know that when I read through your thread. This is also the reason you're growing instead of asking basic questions.

But this schmuck is claming 5+ years experience and hasn't got a fucking clue about plant's life cycle and different growth stages. And on top of it he's a fucking mod. We're doomed!

U have nothing personal against him but u call him a smuck and says he has no clue about a plants life cycle I would find that highly insulting and from a outsiders point of view if he has only been growing 5 years I'm seeing him making moves that people that have been growing 20 years ain't making or got the vision to do so. So o tbat note maybe u should go back to your closet and hand water your hand full of plants. And on the same note the only advice I ever took from u was bad advice I knew it deep down anyways but thought u might have actually known something and again with all the root binding shit u talk about bad info your a fucking hypocryt

I'll take responsibility for replying and maybe accidentally egging it on. Not my intention. My only point was as a new indoor grower I learn from everything I read good or bad. Try to discern good from bad info. I just don't like when I hear from people "you CAN or CANT" do something especially when it comes to techniques. IMO it incourages the new guy to shit their brain off and just "follow instructions". They also should be able to think for themselves tho. Lol
I personally learn from all you guys and never try to imply any different. Even if I disagree with something. But we gotta be able to talk without making it personal. Then all the messages are lost and nobody learns shit

It is ridiculous to say that plants can't be sexed until after they've been flipped, a plant will reach sexual maturity before being flipped to 12/12 and show you whether it is male or female. A small amount of research will show you this. With the few regs I've grown up until this point, (I stuck with just fems for years now), I've been able to sex before the flip. I intend to do the same with all the regs I have growing now.
Granted, some strains are a little more stubborn about it and you will ultimately have to flip them to be sure but, it seems a lot of the growers I know are sexing before the flip. Hell, the plants that I sexed last time became quite obvious without even getting all that big.

Most will show sex before flip but like u said some won't I stick by my take a cut and flip it whilst it's rooting and keep the donor in tact :)

another reason i veg with 17/7 cause my plants show preflowers(male & female) much sooner in veg like wk 5 or 6.i havent put a unknown plant into flower for at least 6 years because my flower space is too important to me.nothing wrong with having a small tent just to sex plants though.

There's loads of different methods I guess it's what ever suits u sort of thing I haven't been able to find a method that works for me like my method I'm sure others feel the same
