Can u have the water tested to find out whats in there causing the PH to be at 10?

Have you tried different water to start with? If not I would suggest that route.

Ok take a listen i grow in promix what i see going on is ph drift promix has this issue while you are phing correctly its drifting low from what im assuming you should give em a nice flush with higher ph im betting a ph of 7 + with light nutes amd good ammount pf calmag you need calcium to uptake the n you are lacking

I have used store water

this is the first time I have ever had a problem in veg It was allways about 3 weeks in veg where It would start to go down hill but that was before I started getting promix I used to us grow store fox farm forest and happy frog roots organic coco loco soil not Wal-Mart stuff like I am using now

Sounds to me like you just revealed your real problem.

Sounds to me if the only thing that has changed is the move from soil to promix this might be your issue.

In addition using water with high alkalinity is going to cause you grief as well. You say it runs around 10 out of the tap? Then that is way too alkaline. And yes you got it will reek havoc with your nutrient uptake.

Please dont confuse highly alkaline water with the alkalinity on the Ph scale it is a different animal.

Here is a link that got stickied some time back. Check it out. https://www.thcfarmer.com/community...-effects-of-water-with-high-alkalinity.77509/

The purpose of this article is to allay some of these concerns by pointing out the difference between "high pH" and "high alkalinity".

I think it is a water source issue, Too much alkalinity.

All good man keep up the good work!
yes like a dream now I have to keep it down bc it will lower the temp to fast n the morning and later at night

think it was 2 nights ago now I took some clones out of the promix did the best I could to knock it all off the roots then put it in happy frog looking like night and day now I am just missing something with the promix

does using the ph down or up not change the alc/asid of the water??? so many ??? so lil time

side not I have had a clone in just the clone tray just getting the rooter cube misted for just about a week is the best looking plant I have that is a clone so the plants I put in promix went to crap one in just plan water champ

I was thinking maybe the ph swing is what is happing but then I remembered this just started with this set of plants in veg and I been using the promix for at least 6months and only had problem in mid flower

did another slu test was same as last all the plants that got taken out of the promix is going nuts might have to up pot them this weekend the one new plant I had in promix is the same looking green and good now u can see all the haft dead leafs at the bottom and nice green top growth

so here is now what I think going on after doing 12 sul test to day on 12 dif plant all then where right about 6.5 im thinking that is what is wrong the ph is to HIGH promix is a kind of soilless mix so needs to be treated like coco or hydro so being at 6.5 Im locking a lot of stuff out like the K def im getting aka red spots of death

what happen something about how people all ways stopping in after posting info its been days and days from any last post

so 6.5 would most def bee what is messing up the nute up take looking at charts looks like I was just at the to high for K uptake?

I hope you get this resolved. It seems this problem is growing in popularity with different strengths. I still get the same brown, rust-color on my fan leaves and smaller leaves before they dry up and die. It's gotta be ph flux combined with nute burn and stunted growth that creates some lock-up I think. It shouldn't be calmag def. because I use tap water and no perlite in my ffof soil. I use pure ffof soil so I already know everything was running hot to begin with. Well, I hope this clues you in. Gl.

Oh, and the cutting I took from the very same plant flowers with NO problem in the same (well-flushed and rinsed) soil. It stays the very same distance away from the lights. Thats a bigger clue!
