Alright I'm not about to sort through the pages to find it but what are you using for lighting? Surprised you're using blurple lights
2 600 watt hps vented hoods and a california 440 led with ub......Alright I'm not about to sort through the pages to find it but what are you using for lighting? Surprised you're using blurple lights
ya my electric was 225 this month.. That includes my central Ac for the house and all my electricity too.. So it prob costed me a hondo last month to run all them lights, a dehuey and a 5000 btu ac for them....If my Vero 29s don't produce what I'm after I may just have to break down and switch to hps and eat the electric bill
Well the led isnt mine.. Dude at the hydro shop told me take it for a test drive... On a flower run....I'm having a custom light made with 6 veros pushing about 500 true watts at 100% so that'll be like... $20-30 a month. Hard to make the switch to hps when that's the case. I used vipar spectras last time so really anything is an upgrade lol
hps is still the best..I guess I haven't looked a ton into those lights but it's difficult for me to justify the price on those. Seems steep for old technology.
Have been curious about those arm ones though. Thinking about selling lights and kicked the idea of those around a bit. But, they require quite a bit of room and most companies sales come from their smaller lights it seems
there are a few LED's that will smoke DE Hps but they are priceyhps is still the best..
Well De gavitas is....
but my 2 600 hps in hoods only costed 400... u cant buy the led i got used for that,,,
so when i bang out 3 peasys or better at a hondo a month,
I dont even sweat it... if i use led is solely for temp control
and to add to the spectrum....
Which is kind of what im doing now,
except now its just in the middle,
so as you see the arms would benefit me...
Yep... And like you said once to me... A 1000 watts is a 1000 watts and still cost the same..there are a few LED's that will smoke DE Hps but they are pricey
watt for watt that would smash HPS
but when people compare hps to LeD they never compare watt for watt
the HID users never want to compare
if you are running 1k LED it is literally like 1800w of HPS
thats why they compare say a DE to a Spectrum King 600....literally 640w LED vs 1100w HPS and the 600 holds its own
that is a problem for me
the only thing is I can get a Gavita for 400.00
while an LED to rival watt for watt is about 1500.00
Ya dont get me wrong.. if they drop the price of led so I can get 1600 watts equivalent for a stack, im prob gonna jump... but right now i cant fault these 600 hps... tried and true... these bulbs are on there 3rd flower run too... cant knock how they are performing...Yeah, high end leds are a brutal initial cost but they have really good longevity. Pays for itself fairly quick but I can see why people stick with hps. Since I'm newer I'm more interested in the LEDs as they show a lot of promise down the road
im reading about them now.. brbthis will eventually make its way into my garden
and im gonna watch this video and then i brb lolWhat do you guys think of these spyder lights? I'm going to be running my 2 gavitas this flower run so I will be able to see what they are about. Checked my head space I have 4' between light and canopy of plants are 4' tall and I've never had a full 4' tall plant indoors so I think I'll have plenty of head room to play with.
