But ppl are doing it.
And its in a vented hood incase...

Well we just let these other guys run it for awhile and see if they have any problems...

I will never buy a galaxy ballast again... if you look at the first or second review (the 1 star) the exact same thing happened to me.. 2 ballasts only lasted about 6-8months and galaxy would not warranty them.. At least i don't think they would, after several email exchanges i gave them the serial #'s and they just never emailed me back again after that..

This is correct, supposedly i think you are supposed to use an old magnetic ballast with them for 100% proper function if you want to improvise and not buy a new ballast...

. Well amazon has 3 yr extended warranty

I had 2x of the 600 watt version exactly the same.. could select between 400-600watts.. Only difference is that one goes up to 1k..

Those ppl might be running those bulbs fine but its not putting out the correct/most efficient spectrum/par/etc.. I would also bet that the bulb life would significantly be affected by using a non square wave ballast.

Im gonna email them and ask for proof it can do them things and just see what they say!

IMO right tool for the right job.. Id rather spend an extra couple bucks to make sure that all the stuff that I'm getting is 100% compatible with each other..



The way they make it sound in the description makes it seem like that ballast will only power a 315 CMH but it doesn't really say much about the ballast they are using..

yeah when running CMH I would suggest ONLY running an approved CMH ballast
as for SolisTek I was just speaking of standard digital HPS/MH ballasts

I dont think you will ever find convience in CMH/Standard HID
I dont think it is possible
but from many growers now testing them....I have to retract my previous statement of CMH
I dont think I would use them for anything other than VEG
HPS will give you a much better finished product
more dense and just better overall

well we got to make our mind up lolololol
remember we are only talking about using it in between 2 hps 600's
so just this equation what do u think?
we are more for the extra spectrum than for yield...
and that extra spectrum gets us more trices?

Thats the bulb that a bunch of the ocean grown heads are running (3k enhanced red), they all seem pretty happy with it claiming that there is more smell/trichs coming off same cuts. At the same time I think growers choice sponsored all of them to demo their products.. lol..

And wisher dont they have a far red bulb or something for the last week of flowering... like a maturation bulb? that will fit in the hps?

btw we got some changes coming to the site...
There doing some updates...
im not for sure what all..
but might be a lil buggy
while they are doing it....
