so this is my advice
get yourself a T-5 light 4-6 bulb
should come with grow bulbs get the extra bloom bulbs for flower
get a bag of coco coir....any will do really
Botanicare/Canna/Bcuzz/Royal Gold
get yourself a gallon of Botanicare CNS17 Bloom and a quart of Silica Blast
get 1 gal square pots and solo cups
get some starter plugs and some cloning gel
I recommend life cloning gel by RX green solutions
take cuttings and clone
when the clones root put in solo cups and start feeding
in 2 weeks transplant to 1 gal pots
in 2 more weeks flip to flower and away you go
you can use the T-5 the entire time
just switch lighting from
24hour/clone
18/6 Veg

Yes yes and done. I knew you'd come up with something for me :) I want to use my closet for a vegging/cloning area so what about something more attractive and exclusive to vegging. Like a blue LED fixture or possibly blue cfls? I don't mean to contradict the master here. Just a lil question.

The cool thing about veging and cloning is light leaks dont matter.
I dont even zip the mother tent up...
I dont even worry about temp or rh.
If its good enough for me its good enough for them...
You can use your led and cfl in a veg area. Waste of electric imo
But you can.
Put them 3 foot up amd just le5 them illuminate the area. Thats good enough..
I want to express that and sress that light is only good if yhe tops aint stressed. So it is smarter to move light away EVEN if it gives uou less light if it os in the name of less stress on the top from heat or other factors.

Areas that are around the bulb have micro environments.
With in 2 inches temps are higher and rh is lower thay ambient temps and rh..

They are decent!
look 300 watts cost the same weathers it hid,led, cfl,
so it all cost the same on the electric...
the difference is they yield differently.
as hid produce the most, they require extra costs for cooling..
leds are usually less heat so less extra costs, but they cost ton up front $600
t5 ho are cooler so less extra costs, but they arte rather cheap up front.$ 100

dont buy anything yet,,
lets look ands see what we can find
like here is one on my first search..

I'm using Maxibright Pl4 Mk3 - Propagation Light - 220w Blue Spectrum - Cool£104.99eBayFree shipping and it will happily veg 4 to 6 plants in my little veg cupboard until they are small bushes.. works a treat.. they really like it and they can get a few inches away and are absolutely fine..
