I run the 2 t5 standing up in the tent with the led above them for flower and pull 10 ounces in coco!
Im gonna have to do a micro grow just for shits and giggles,
to see what I can get out of a 3x3 tent!

i dont know how young u fellas are but 25 yr ago us lil hobby gardeners had phototrons..

we donr traded in them for 4x8 tents :)

I posted them pics because snake,
that is the philosophy you need to have. Surround the plants with light as well as above. You can grow some long thick colas.
maximizing your space with the equipment you can afford...
I understand it and look at it as investment for a certain period of time.

Well you only ever use auto-flowers here right? You'll possibly get hermies out of those as I know it.

I never had any autos hermie but ya its possible..
But some strains are just unstable.
Bred with unstable parents it carries on the gene.

so I would just stick to a T-5 for veg and flower and clone
what I would do is set up the space you want to use
set it up really good
then start the clone process then veg then flower
all with a T-5
I have seen amazing flowers with T-5's
there is an old dude that kills it with T-5's
although he has set up his grow space like a tanning booth and has like 24 bulbs
8 above and 8 @ 45degree angle on either side
in any case
we can get you pulled through a bad ass grow that will build your confidence and that will get you going on the right track

My tent is 36" wide but I figure the LED is fine for flower.

these have a lot of info on what you need and what Im wanting you to do...

Ok well I know this isn't exactly a keeper but I can find some use for all the cfls I have.

One thing you have to be sure of is that you can vent the light either to the outside or directly to a completely separate space so that the heat from the light is taken away from the garden..

What about the 400w version..?? It's a bit more expensive but if he can control the heat of it then it might be worth it.. I just remember my flower run 10 years ago with a 2' 4x bulb t5 and it was meh.. lol..

Soory i dodnt mean to disagree.
But i had to...
Wisher made an important point earlier tjay prob got over looked.
He said you can have a hell of a good run with them t5 WHILE U GET YOUR CONFIDENCE UP..
If you knew for sure that you could get me to hand you 2000 when u finished u wouldnt be so hesitant..
But one day u will.
And me and wish can almost garantee him that confidence while he learns with t5
T5 means less heat and more QUALITY buds.
Only QUALITY buds allows you to have that confidence.
Less things go wrong with t5!
