@Snakeskins
so I would just stick to a T-5 for veg and flower and clone
what I would do is set up the space you want to use
set it up really good
then start the clone process then veg then flower
all with a T-5
I have seen amazing flowers with T-5's
there is an old dude that kills it with T-5's
although he has set up his grow space like a tanning booth and has like 24 bulbs
8 above and 8 @ 45degree angle on either side
in any case
we can get you pulled through a bad ass grow that will build your confidence and that will get you going on the right track
I used to follow him on RIU. The guy that grows "old man weed" ?

I've seen mentioned a few times a fan leaf technique. could someone please elaborate for me i do a lot of lst, topping and such.. but love to hear new methods.... I'm assuming a defoliation of some description..

Im going to start 12/12 and preparing myself for the fact that I might not get one female to harvest. I took out all the cfls and it means my plants are heavily flooded with red spectrum light if my research is any indication. I can't wait to start making new arrangements. Idk if I should buy the T5 panel just yet. What do you guys think? It's looking like I'm going to buy the 4× 2ft. T5s probably the same one as Wisher's and it will be used for vegging clones. Not sure about where a mother plant would go.

So just to recap:

The T5's in my closet for vegging clones
The LED in my tent for flowering clones.
KISS

I think wishers is a 4 bulb x 4footer.
I just dont know about 2 footers...
but for clones and just a week of veg might be alright..
We see what wish says..

Pg. 358 that doesn't look like 4ft. Look at the 1 gallon botanicare container for size. And the large number 2 you can see before the sticker indicating 24"

@whitebob

prob 150 pages back when I started this grow,
Wisher had me do this tech...
What I did was let the plants grow about 6 nodes,
then I removed the VERY VERY top 2 fan leaves
They were very lil, but had enough stem for me to cut with my trimmers.
That slowed down the top, and encouraged my branches at the other nodes to grow out and up..
A week later the top had regrew 2 new fans and the branches underneath that node were even with the top, so i had 3 tops at canopy level.
I removed all 3 of them tops fan leaves( they were small but had enough stem to cut.
That slowed down them tops and made ALL OF THE BOTTOM BRANCHES
shoot up to canopy level.
I know had about 12 tops per canopy per plant,
AND SINCE I DIDN'T TOP,
I still got the apical cola which will always produce the biggest cola....

So its a way of achieving the same as topping with out topping,
allowing you to get that apical cola...
Plus removing the fans doesn't stunt as long as topping..
The plant takes a cpl days when topping to get the signal to the other branches to grow..
I felt the signal was quicker to the lower branches that hey somethings wrong with the apical top, lets get to growing..

See this all comes down to the science of plants

A plant has 1 goal!
All it cares about...
REPRODUCING...
Its goal is to grow that main top up as high as possible,
get pollinated,
produce resin as a protection against predators, uv, and other life altering
factors...
See we get high off its defense mechanisms.
Anyway if its growing and anything happens to the main apical colas,
the plant sends hormonal messages,
ALL BRANCHES MATTER,,,
And all the lower branches go into over drive trying to be the one to make it to the top of canopy, so come fall it can release its seed...
Except we dont let it get pollinated, so it just grows full of resin in the form of tricomes.....

Brotha sing. Great plants btw. I thought I saw muscles in those flowers. You called them 9/11.

I called them 9/11 because of the towering colas, plus with all the colas laying every which way it reminded me of the mangled Iron and support beams smoking while George Bush yelled thru a horn to the crowd....
"I hear you! And the people that knocked down these buildings will hear all of us soon"

Yeah, I'm up early with the birdies, ready to get dirty
This ain't a song for you if you asleep at 7:30
I rise like the sun; I'm the bag of the pounds
A full throttle in the bottle like that home-made shine
I'm just tryin' to make a livin', boss man trippin'
My overtime's strong; I don't pay him no attention
Money in the mason jar, country boy pension
No lady, three kids, take a lot to fill the kitchen
Fingernails dirty, my back stay hurtin'
You can bet I got to play for every penny that I'm earnin'
I ain't askin' for a raise, but I know the boss heard me
Nobody on this job site's workin' like I'm workin'
Thirty below to a hundred degrees
You ain't pushin' hard enough if your hands don't bleed
I'm the first to clock in and the last to leave
I ain't never had a problem rollin' up my sleeves.

I woke up this mornin', tied my boots up
'Cause I knew it's goin' to be a long day
Fired my truck up, grabbed my coffee
Kissed my baby, got on my way
'Cause I'm workin' 'til it's hurtin'
That's the only way to make an honest day's pay
So I'm workin' even when it's hurtin'
That's the only way to make an honest day's wage
I'm out the door by the sun up, focused on the come-up
We never sleep in, that ain't how we was brought up
I push it to the limit when the money gets low
And been known to work past when the plant whistle blows
Pay check feelin' like a lottery ticket
I might save a couple bucks if my kids don't spend it
It don't matter cause I love it every day of my life
Spent more time on the clock than I do with my wife
State to state, never late, puttin' miles on the road
Drop it off, fill it up, get me to my next load
Call my old lady, let her know I'll be late
And I ain't worry cause I know that she goin' to save me a plate

Love it man. Didn't doubt any of that about you for a second lol. Just letting you know which of your monster-grows I was refering to :) BRB. Btw I really want to know if I wasted my funds on that botanicare liquid karma stuff. I need @Wisher619 input on this
