Wouldn't you know it? The prices for lights and fixtures are jacked and they didn't have CNS17.
But in any case, we shall push forward.

what are you gonna use the perlite for?
I would use the T-5 for clone then veg then bloom
there are other nutes you can buy But the CNS is the easiest
My T-5 is a 2" 4bulb

Yeah, I thought you mentioned perlite wasn't necessary. I got in case I were to use my 3 gallon pots. But I'll maybe just use the 8× 1gal. pots

he got coco block :(
Fuck that shit!
Fuck them at your store sending you out with rockwool peralite and a block of coco.. U can tell them dudes dont know shit...

You just needed one bag of course coco

Gonna need to hit up amazon for everything else
should of just hit up amazon for everything..
U cloning in rockwool is like me growing on the moon!
That shit is brutal!
Talk about learning curve...
I dont even fuck wit rockwool if i can help it!
I did the same dumb shit my first trip to the hydro store.. I now know more than him! And im not bs'ing!

@whitebob

prob 150 pages back when I started this grow,
Wisher had me do this tech...
What I did was let the plants grow about 6 nodes,
then I removed the VERY VERY top 2 fan leaves
They were very lil, but had enough stem for me to cut with my trimmers.
That slowed down the top, and encouraged my branches at the other nodes to grow out and up..
A week later the top had regrew 2 new fans and the branches underneath that node were even with the top, so i had 3 tops at canopy level.
I removed all 3 of them tops fan leaves( they were small but had enough stem to cut.
That slowed down them tops and made ALL OF THE BOTTOM BRANCHES
shoot up to canopy level.
I know had about 12 tops per canopy per plant,
AND SINCE I DIDN'T TOP,
I still got the apical cola which will always produce the biggest cola....

So its a way of achieving the same as topping with out topping,
allowing you to get that apical cola...
Plus removing the fans doesn't stunt as long as topping..
The plant takes a cpl days when topping to get the signal to the other branches to grow..
I felt the signal was quicker to the lower branches that hey somethings wrong with the apical top, lets get to growing..

See this all comes down to the science of plants

A plant has 1 goal!
All it cares about...
REPRODUCING...
Its goal is to grow that main top up as high as possible,
get pollinated,
produce resin as a protection against predators, uv, and other life altering
factors...
See we get high off its defense mechanisms.
Anyway if its growing and anything happens to the main apical colas,
the plant sends hormonal messages,
ALL BRANCHES MATTER,,,
And all the lower branches go into over drive trying to be the one to make it to the top of canopy, so come fall it can release its seed...
Except we dont let it get pollinated, so it just grows full of resin in the form of tricomes.....
I will be doing it to about 8 plants today. I will post pics. I haven't clipped a leaf or anything yet. I've been very good about keeping hands off for this Grow until the times I do my defols whenever they be. No more Joey scissor hands all the time. Hahah

I will post pics after I do it. To show people and to see if I did it right! Hahah. Here's a pic of one of the ones that will get it

Btw.
Cns 17 grow 18ml gal
Silica blast 5 ml gal
Microbial plus life once a week

I don't like to dump this here but I really want to know if this statement holds water pun intended:

coco/perlite will hold moisture better. Perlite has all of those microscopic imperfections that nutrient leyden moisture hideout in. Pure coco will dry out in a day.... I water to 10% runoff every 48hrs. Tends to do the trick. Check out my girls! link in sig

Oh shit. I'll definitely take it back then. Please explain THAT a bit further

I think straight Coco works the best. Most even distribution. It's like a sponge. As long as you don't have seedlings with no established roots it won't stop up water. The plant will take what it needs.
I've used both with and without perlite. Without is better in my opinion. But you have to have edtablished roots.
