I gotta say I really like this new defol technique.
I've been using defol to shape plants for many years. But never quite like this.
Getting out of the topping habit was easier than I thought
I want to do a side by side...topping vs defol.
Coming soon!

Got the home Garden up and running again. For the third time in 4 months. so far no signs of pest. Makes me very happy!

All the seedlings I started in bleach water grew hollow stalks.
She refused to weave

On that reservoir..
Im about to just go no reservoir.
Just hook my RO straight to the float valve in the Epicenter.
I just top off nutes as needed.

Then next run i just pick up my
Ph and 2 part nutrient doser.

Just make it fully automated..

By the way the smell is seriously improving and so is the taste..
Buds are drying nice and tight..
I got a lil on the leafy side towards bottom where light was slightly less and co2 was slightly high..
Well i learned a little bit about c02 this run..
On the bad side im having clone troubles.
Going back to the clones from the 11.
I think my cloning solution is contaminated.
Im having no roots.
We give it a few more days..
Then get some diff solution..

So one problem with no res at all.. how you gunna do water change outs? dump all your water and let roots hang in air while you wait for ro to fill entire system back up..?? roots will dry out by then for sure.

last night as i was looking over my plants i found one single herm.. lol

I'm not to worried though because the only branch that had the herm has a deformed leaf and i have a feeling that had something to do with it, ill keep an eye on em though.. also its the only deformed leaf in the whole room..

I just use coco so I don't have to worry about it, but my buddy used to work for Culligan and had a ton of those 5 gallon containers sitting around so I snagged a few. That's probably what I'd do. Just fill them prior and have them ready to go. Guess it depends how much water you need to fill that thing

You need about 40 gallons give or take to fill the whole system (6 bucket system). during flowering maybe about 30-35gallons.. But it takes about 8hours for my 100gallon per day ro to fill that.. in DWC if you don't have water in your system for more than 30-60 minutes your plants are gunna feel it imo..

What i would do if you don't want a reservoir is get some of those big plastic water bottles they use for water dispensers at like the doctors/dentist office.. The only problem with that is you have to stand by it and make sure that you don't forget about it or else you have a flood on your hands.. My brute trash can aka reservoir has a float valve on it and shuts off when its full..

That's that I was referring to, the 5 gallon containers. Obviously you'd need 6-8 of them but it'd make it quick and painless. I grabbed 2 of them from my buddy that used to work at Culligan swapping those out. But like I said, I'm not doing DWC or anything like that, just coco.

I just use an under sink RO system with a 4 gallon tank so I've been pre-filling the 5 gallon jugs since my girls are only a week or so old and don't take much water. Last grow towards the end I was sort of fighting my RO system to get enough water. And this time around I have 4 plants instead of 2. So, essentially I 'm storing 10 gallons of backup RO water so if my filter can't keep up I'm good to go.

I think the 5 gallon jugs can be bought fairly cheap though

I use a brute trash cans w/float for ro storage also.

Another thing to keep in mind (this is another reason to have epicenter outside of tent..) when you change out your system you want to do it at night cycle. The fresh water will be too warm if you do it during day cycle..

mine wont.. it comes out the tap at about 65 to 70.
Ive did this before and let my system fill up with water for like 3 hrs with no ill effects to the plants. but it was 20 gal not 40 or 75 with the other buckets..
Well I can use a brute trash can out side the groom with a float valve from the ro sytem.
Then I can just pump it to my system.
Which I wont even change out in veg,
and prob 4 times max in flower..
But i can use a brute outside the room just to do change outs..
