Hell ya brotha. I'm loving it. Very stable as well. Only time ph drops is if the res gets really really low. Otherwise sits pretty at 5.9

@Wisher619 do you think it would be a better idea for me to start out flood and drain with cns17 instead of the canna coco line up? just seems cheaper and sort of easier..

I have never used the CNS line in F&D so Event will be the first to test it
I know that this line was created for this reason and all literature on the product is geared towards F&D
My experience has been with DTW with great success
it holds its ph really well in the res
but I dont know of the flux it may have in a FD system
there are many people out there using the canna now that Vader has kinda coined it with canna but canna is super expensive

with CNS really all you need is Bloom/Ripe/Silica Blast
that should run you in the neighborhood of about $80.00 for 2 gal and a quart
there are other additives like Hydroplex and Sweet that you can add
but they are not needed
if you need to boost ppm in bloom just up the base.....
need to up the p/k switch to Ripe
so I cant really give you a definitive answer but if I Were to run a FD table I would use whats on hand

Maybe ill try the cns recipe first because canna is pretty damn expensive and I'm just looking for a cheap setup to get me going for now.. I know you've said the recipe before but i must of forgotten to screen shot it, what would the feeding schedule be for a full life cycle? Should i adjust it at all for F&D vs DTW?

would be using cns17, ripe , & silica blast..

Curious to see the end results with that recipe in a F&D. I tried a F&D with Canna but went back to DTW.
I'm using Canna A&B + Calimagic for Veg and Floranova bloom the last weeks of Flower this run. The only additive other then that is Raw Silica as a Foliar.
And of Course Molasses.

just wondering did you try to replicate vaders canna recipe when you did the F&D? what made you switch back?

5ml Silica Blast through bloom till flush
week 1-2
18ml Bloom
week 3
20ml Bloom
week 4
22ml Bloom
week 5
25 ml Ripe
Week 6
22ml Ripe
week 7
17ml Ripe
week 8
Flush to zero ppm then water till 2 days to harvest allow to dry 2 days then chop

you can play with the levels a bit but that will about max you at 2.0ec at peak Bloom

I will attest to that.
I'm on my second week of flower day 12 and am at 18ml bloom. Along with Hydroplex and silica blast. Ec is around 1.6-1.7. Also I can tell it milk need to be upped as flower production kicks in. I will be bumping to 20 ml this next res.
Only thing I'm wondering is if I will need a lil more silica to keep the ph at 5.8. We shall see

I didn't duplicate Vader's recipe exactly I only used Calimagic & Canna A&B. The plants looked Fine.
The reason I went back to DTW was because it seemed like a waste of nutes in My situation. The reservoir needed changed once a week or maybe You could go 2 weeks at best. So if You calculate the amount of nutes required for the reservoir change's it didn't seem logical. The reservoir PH needed checked daily or adjusted.
If Your adjusting and checking PH everyday You might as well be mixing up a fresh batch of Nutes. I also think the root zone appreciates the benefits of watering from top to bottom. If I was in a situation where I had to leave the plants alone for days at a time I might consider going back to it.

Last question, does the veg nutrient schedule apply to seedlings/very young veg? (18ml grow + 5ml silica)

Well ive been waiting for my little buddy to pop back up with pics of a good harvest..
I feel bad for hurting his ferlings..

Almost got in trouble today for calling 2 new guys, cupcake and snowflake..
He said he didnt appreciate my racism.

I was gonna say the same thing
I would need at least the 5 liter set just as a base for 1 run
and that is just the base no Additives...which ....from what I am told...are def needed for a good harvest
that 5 liters of base price compared to CNS
with CNS that gets me 4liters Bloom 4liters Ripe and a quart of silica

Correct me if im wrong,
But when you raise or lower your base, I also see you slightly adjust the silica blast
Trying maintain that relationship that brings your ph out to 5.7 to 5.9..
That seems to be winning combination and one of the first things a grower should try to dial in when moving to a new nutrient..
So this is prob considered 1st step in dialing a nutrient in...

that is exactly why

as your base goes up the more acidic the mix become hense more Silica (potasium silicate) you need to raise the ph
basically I see most silica products as a MUCH BETTER ph up product than ph up because it is giving you additional benifits over just your standard ph up
