err that would be of darkness not 36 hours of light before chop.

so when you pour boiling water on the rootsyo, wisher i put one of my plants through the ringer before chop.. i gave it 36 hours of light, as iv read anymore than that is not needed. anyhow, i also poured boiling water onto her roots.. hurt a little to do heh.
anyhow, what is the idea behind the boiling water, or ice water. i get the fact it has to shock the plant, and kill some shit in the process. but what do you think is happening. thanks man, hope all is well with ya.. just getting loaded before bed. waiting for lights out, makes a handy timer.
just pour it in by itselfSo when I give my plants the tea I'm brewing should I pour it on straight instead of nutes?
Or do I mix with nutes first?
Growing in coco
Brewing ogbiowar
Awesome Thank you sir!just pour it in by itself
So how tall would you guys let 4 plants get in a 4x4 before flipping to flower? It's sour Pink Kush so I'd guess about a 60/40 Indica
are you doing scrog?
then plant hight dosnt matterHaven't before, but that's the plan this time
then plant hight dosnt matter
if you are doing scrog then you need to throw the net down and start weaving the plants through the net
if you werent doing scrog I would say it all depends on your ceiling hight and how much your plants stretch
On that subject... Anyone ever made a "sliding scrog frame"? Idk wtf else to call it lol. Essentially I planned on taking some 4' long 2x2s and drilling a hole in the center of the corners so it could freely slide up and down on the tents outer poles. Then just throw a clamp underneath it to keep it at whatever height.
Would just put screws every 4 or 5 inches and use twine to make the net aspect. Just kinda figured this would help the rigidity of the tent walls as well. My last grow I had terrible issues with the sides getting sucked in from negative pressure. Granted, that was mostly due to getting a 6" exhaust fan for a 3x3 in plans of getting a bigger tent some day. But, either way, I was losing some serious squart footage from the sides getting sucked in a good 4 or 5 inches in the middle.
Something like this.
so you usually put it at the top of the canopy and allow the plants to grow and when they begin to come up through you begin to weaveSo, what height would you put the net at above the plants when you start doing that then?
Kinda sounds like I'm going to be vegging for a while longer lol. Hoping once I get them in the 3 gallon pots they'll explode. I think they're pretty much tapped out in the small pots they're in. Just waiting on that damn 3x3 tray
Sounds like a pain in the ass to install/remove from the tent.. lol.. why not just build a typical PVC frame and make a net on it?
3x3 tray in a 4x4 tent right? you could build the PVC scrog with legs that go to the ground, you could attach the PVC scrog to the frame holding the flood tray, or you could hang the PVC scrog with rope ratchet hangers..
If you built the PVC frame about the size of the tent I bet it would do a decent job of holding the tent from sucking in too much..
with coco you just start upping the feeds to match the quickness of the dry down which would equal a larger pot feed wise....but the smaller pot and more feeds will producer faster growth
Yeah I suppose that'd work too. I'm mostly worried about taking care of the tent getting sucked in. Turned my 36x36 into like a 30x30 last time. And towards the end I had to go around and tie off branches to the main stem to keep them from being weighed down.
I've been feeding twice a day in the pots they're in since the top starts to dry out after about 12 hours
