That's the thing... I have a 6" fan with a variable speed on it. It's on the lowest speed. Like I said, that was a 3x3 tent and I have a 4x4 tent. Just waiting to set it up until the 3x3 tray comes. So the bigger tent should help with that in general. Going from a 54 cubic foot to a 104 cubic foot.

Plan on doing various PAR testing on the light when I set it up first from various heights. Thus far pretty impressed with how even the lighting is when that thing.
I have plugged my fans into dimmer switches before. Then I chose the speed I wanted

Sounds like a pain in the ass to install/remove from the tent.. lol.. why not just build a typical PVC frame and make a net on it?
3x3 tray in a 4x4 tent right? you could build the PVC scrog with legs that go to the ground, you could attach the PVC scrog to the frame holding the flood tray, or you could hang the PVC scrog with rope ratchet hangers..

If you built the PVC frame about the size of the tent I bet it would do a decent job of holding the tent from sucking in too much..
I hung a scrog from ratchet straps and it worked great.

His fan has a speed controller built in, IMO in this case would I would get either a 6" booster fan or a 4" inline.. @MW7945

Booster fans are dirt cheap, quiet, and they also use less electricity... they are less efficient than inline fans i think but you just don't need that much airflow IMO.. unless your battling extreme humidity issues or something...

Cool haha, thats what i want to do when i get my flood tables setup.

The last thing I have is high humidity issues. Got the humidifier running 24/7 and can barely keep it at 50%.

Idk, I'll see how much of an issue the negative pressure is once I get the 4x4 setup.

Since you have high humidity id probably keep the fan how it is then... But yea If you build the PVC scrog to just barely fit in your tent then it will def help with the tent walls just as much as the wood and would be a lot easier to setup/take down IMO..

If I had a choice I would use 5" plenty of room for those sweet colas!

If I were going off my last grow's cola size I'd only need about 2" spacing lol. But, I also have a much better setup/understanding this time. I got a 9 gram cola last time but that was from a plant that somehow didn't FIM correctly.

Was thinking 3", 4", or 6" though as they'd come out evenly in a 4 foot scrog.

I’m going with 4” when I make mine eventually I think..

@Wisher619 am I remembering correctly that you said to lower your lights closer to canopy when buds start to develop? I think you said 24” for a 600watt air cooled?

why 50%
should be sitting at around 65%

Lol nothing I can do about it man. I got the humidifier running at full blow 24/7. I can get it in the 60's at night but when the lights on it'll float between 50-55%. It's just dry af in here. And it's in the same room as the furnace.

It's a blessing when it comes time for flowering though.

Once winter hits it'll be even worse.

Lol I thought you were suffering from high humidity... reducing the air exchange will most definitely help with low humidity..

At night you actually usually want to reduce the humidity imo.. I’m on day 25 flower running 55/60 during day & like 40 during night..

Nah I said "The last thing I have is high humidity issues." As in -- too high of a humidity.

I can't put the exhaust fan on any lower. Think the 4x4 tent will help with that as well then? Air exchange will essentially be cut in half as I'll still be running the fan on low.

The closer it gets to winter the humidity is just naturally going to sink. I think typically it's something like 20% RH in the house mid winter. I have to run a humidifier by the bed or I wake up feeling like a mummy.

It might, the hard part is it will still be dry AF in there when you put fresh cuts in.. what I did until I got smaller fans to circulate my air is put my inline fan on a timer have it come on every 30-60 minutes for 15 minutes..

Yeah... when it comes time to chop/dry it'll be like mid January. That's going to be a pain in the ass. Just gonna have to throw the humidifier back in there. I'll probably have a better humidifier by then as well. The one I have in there right now will be my bedside one once it starts getting super dry again.

The next thing I need to focus on is ppm's of feed. I literally paid zero attention to it last time and I feel like I got lucky. Because the PPM's were probably preeettty high most of the time.
again what is the feed recipe you are going to be using
I suggest the 6/9 method if you are running GH 3 part
that means you eliminate the grow and you run
6ml Micro/9ml bloom per gal
that is for coco
when your plants are small you can use that per 2 gal for a week until the plant starts to take off
cannabis only needs about 100ppm N
and that ratio gives them what they need
tou can also add 1g of Epsom Salt to that mix
you can get it at walmart for about $4.00 for 5 lbs
