I would think light spectrum would be pretty key. From what I gather, trichromes are a defense mechanism against UV.
Not entirely. It's actually the CBD content in trichomes that serves as defense against UV-induced degradation.

Higher UVB exposure = Higher THC levels = Reduced CBD levels

Anyone who is growing CBD-strains, needs to make sure they avoid using supplemental UV in their grows. An increase in THC levels from UV comes at the expense of reduced CBD.

Then again, I'm high and pooping so could just be talking out of my butt.
Yea ! UV does help in terpene development & there are some LED light that have an UV light also (Galaxyhydro 300 has UV and IV light also)

First...you need a "frosty" variety. You can either do seed pack runs until you find one or grab a popular cultivar in cutting (clone) form that gives up heavy trichome production in peak flower. I suggest something like White Fire or Gorilla Glue #4. But there are many others. This is key..finding the frosty strain is first and foremost. The foundation. Because if your genetic doesnt have it...nothing you do with equipment or skill will make it happen. After that its just a matter of keeping it happy. I suggest the newer cmh lamp fixtures high in the cool blue spectrum to really bring out the trichomes. And also the canopy temps and humidity. Towards the latter half of flowering you want to slowly cool the room down and drop the humidity. This should do the trick. Notice I didnt give you an expensive hydroponic shop store bought magic in a bottle as well. Because these products may (or may not) "enhance" whats already there. Often along with a taste or aroma you dont want or that is "unnatural" to what the variety is supposed to taste like. Buyer beware with the bottles. Just do what I said above and skip the bottles and you will get your frosty fat juicies. No doubt!!!

I used fish water before! I grew tilapia in a big container and had chicken wire above it. I kept my chickens up there and their poop fell through the wire and fed the fish then I had that water feeding buckwheat and the buckwheat filtered the water and the buckwheat is what the chickens ate.... full circle

Its 90% genetics. The rest is skill. And outside..you dont even need equipment.
Or the other way around!
Or I could be wrong but I don't know... do 90% of the people on here have triched out bud?

Livewell water is one of my plants' favorite treats! But if the the genetics are not there for high THC formation, all the nutes, boosters, supplements and magic won't help much. You would simply have more "mids" than without.
