remember when I said take off all big leaves from the top colasWent in and took out a lot more leaves. The canopy was just too damn thick, nothing below it was getting light. Not covered in trichs yet, but this one is super hair. She's getting about 1500 PAR
you can dry ice siftWhich method you prefer? I think I'm going to just throw my trim from last time + my trim from this grow in a bucket with a sifting bag and dry ice and see what I can get. What I'll do with all the sift... no idea.
Plum beautiful! If I was gonna do dtw, I would most deff incorporate your diy dripper, and the tape is a great addition to, esp if you can come up with something that wont ruin after a few soakings...Nothing but roots
switching to coco for you would be like building a house and then getting materials to build another house where the new one standsI am curious, Wisher. If the consensus is coco, why stick with something most folks seem to figure is, well somewhere down the list. Is is just due to the simplicity? I know you wouldn't recommend that without good reason. My interest in coco is 3 fold:
1.Folks talking about it being productive and having no regrets
2.I am very uninclined to spend money twice and never planned to stick with thevsoiless potting mix, strictly training at the behest of my cloner. But do not enjoy it, as anticipated, for multiple reasons.
3.want to use the same style system as most here, so the bulk of advice applies and adds to my learning.
What are the reasons for me to not go with it if you don't mind my asking?
Thanks Wisher!
I like it. Literally just took these.Welllllllll ,, let the tea do its work but tomm we get it going..
let me see our girls?
I like to see them every day...
you see the tips on the yellowy one how they are pointing downI like it. Literally just took these.
Ohh and my plants are more than double the size of his and he sees it. He came by this weeked asking about the airflow for the filter and fan soo i imagine he will b hps very very sooon. Lol
So for once we got someone who doesnt give us 1 liner questions...switching to coco for you would be like building a house and then getting materials to build another house where the new one stands
and after you live in it for a few months you are gonna knock it down for the "new new"
I can walk you through this grow and you will be uber successful
I can get you same results in peat as coco and you can use the same methods
but
you dont have to water as much
if you want to get super serious
then after this run we can talk about what we can do to get you cookin with peat
I am not sure at what stage of growth you are in or if you are flowering anything
without a super long story can you please tell me how many plants you have
what stage they are in
and what your plans are
we can then go from there with what you have
I will create a simple plan that will net you Grade AAA buds Top Shelf type stuff
once we get your plants healthy and going in the right direction and get a complete harvest we can then figure out the future
Ya that what I said too..you see the tips on the yellowy one how they are pointing down
they are starving
the other looks like it is about to go into starve mode as well
tomorrow we are gonna have to start with an every day feeding
see now we are cookinI tell you what!!!!
Im tormented!!!
I need a license to study the best ways to grow mj..
So I can just have 4x4's set up next to each other with diff setups..
This dtw in rockwool looks addicting.
144 4"x4" cubes stacked on top of slabs in a 4x4 table with sog clones like the one i got right now. If you clip the 4 lil low branches then you got 1 single cola... How about 144 of then in a 4x4 tent with a 1100 watt hps.
Ill get back to you in a fewThanks! That's super cool of you!
* 6 plants...all 6 you've seen and are unhealthy (apparent root rot.) All in veg.
* Cut a whole bunch of clones 4 days ago in DIY hydro cloner...about half starting to show roots (saw when I added extra air stones today.)
* 15 plant legal max (WA state)
* Plans? Well, one closed room, one 5'x5'x80" tent... plus the tall ceiling shop (several hundred sq. feet if needed) plus the various equip above.
*Had been thinking of at least making the system much more convenient on my back (esp with spine surgery #5 in 2weeks, wife will need to help?), if not automated, either all at once or little by little. Other than that...just want reliable killer bud for extracts mostly and enjoy learning a lot...former lifelong engineer & inventor. Not sure what else you might have wanted re: plans? Thanks again!
The rockwool has been as easy as the coco, and i was pretty scared of it...see now we are cookin
down to what we discussed along time ago
I gotcha, well all that makes perfect sense. I guess the 800ppm marker it is for now. Thats good cuz thats what my last batch came out to. Lol as far as temps they should stay pretty consistant. My room stays the same temp always no matter the temps outsiide, weve been stuck btw 77/79° lights on and around 67° lights out. I think that will stay pretty much the same throughout the grow unless i need to change it then i can adjust my temps in my roomYa that what I said too..
That one was alot greener just 2 days ago..
So wood,, what I take a way from this is, and what I want you to see the correlation on,
she was doing good and then you made a change :)
You uped the lights........
When you did that she said,
she needs you to up the feed or at least up the frequency...
to make up for the 25% more par she was receiving..
There is a flip side to that too,
if temps get to high, then she need more water and you will need to lower the EC.... just a lil, maybe 100 ppm... That is with using 800 ppm as our 100% marker.. If she is a hog, we may have to give her 110%
If its gonna be hot this weekend and you cant cool it properly, well then maybe we should drop it to 700 ppm... Those are the things to take into account when setting ppm..
Growing is meshing all parameters(temp/rh/ph/ppm/c02ppm/median) into one equation where one variable can effect all the others, and when you understand how they all effect each other, then you can control your garden, and prevent problems.. Also remember, that sick plants call bugs like a dead deer to coyotes...
No sir - thinking you might be thinking of someone else. Have never owned a 4x8...So you got a 5x5 tent and a 4x8 tent?
that is exactly my numbers in the 4x4 tent upstairs..I gotcha, well all that makes perfect sense. I guess the 800ppm marker it is for now. Thats good cuz thats what my last batch came out to. Lol as far as temps they should stay pretty consistant. My room stays the same temp always no matter the temps outsiide, weve been stuck btw 77/79° lights on and around 67° lights out. Looks good bro!
it was just the way I reed your measurements.. That is why i had you confirm..No sir - thinking you might be thinking of someone else. Have never owned a 4x8...
I agree! Use a bigger pot to pool the water! Thanks
I think next time I'm going to use a slightly larger pot.
Only fill it to 3/4 to leave room for standing water
